1986 Mercury 90 hp inline 6 trim and start wiring problem

Sorry about the wind, maybe turn the sound down a little?. I could start and run this motor fine before having the trim motor wiring problem. Plenty of battery charge and have checked and cleaned the grounds. Just can't get anything at the controller to work. Won't start now and the trim is dead as well but the battery is fully charged. I even changed batteries to be sure and have the same problem. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem may be? thanks

To whom it may concern, the starting problem was in fact a fuse at the motor, easy fix, but the trim problem persists.
