Quite like this one! The shovel is from the scene where he buries his lady victim. I’m sure NECA will make some more versions from the other Christopher Lee films. Cant wait for the Van Helsing to display him with.
The scene where Dracula attempts to bury Mina outside Castle Dracula has always amused me. Lee looks like a dog burying his bone in the garden for later.
Thanks, always enjoy your reviews and me living in UK, you always bring Necas horror figures 1st to us so I really appreciate that before I purchase any of the figures.i really like this figure I will purchase thanks to your review, like others in the past.
The fig looks really good. Not perfect but good. I think I would go the same head sculpt you chose. But still the others aren't too bad. Now you are building up an army of Dracula’s! ;)
Its a nice figure and great to have some Hammer characters for my shelf. I do feel this is one of those figures that if I find one cheap enough I may have two of the heads on display !! Yes a Dracula army :)
A fantastic Hammer Dracula. I believe Neca do have the rights to use Christopher Lee's likeness & while it's not perfect, you can definitely tell it's him. There was no red lining inside Dracula's cape in the first movie, that came later. Box art is a bit of a let down unfortunately. There are much better posters of the film out there. Fingers crossed for a Van Helsing & i'd love to see an Oliver Reed Curse of the Werewolf figure 🤞🤞. Thanks for this Fang tastic Rocketman Review.🚀👍🦇🚀⚰️👍
It just seems odd that they picked the one poster for the box without Christopher Lee on it 😕 it's odd how things like the red in his cape is standard but isn't !!! There is 100% a Van Helsing on the way and it looks fantastic and I need a curse of the Wolfman figure so badly !!! As always thank you for watching 👍 🚀 🦇🚀👍
@ericmiller3540 they have done so well with the universal monsters and this is the first Hammer action figure and it definitely won't be the last the list of characters is fantastic 👍🦇🚀
THIS!!!! Absolutely will pick this superb figure up , and the Peter Cushing Van Helsing when it appears, you just can't have one without the other. The Box art is hideous and not in a good way.
That box art doesn't sell the figure at all there are mush better posters with Dracula actually on them !! But this is a fantastic figure and the Van Helsing looks great too I can't wait for that one
Where did you order him from?Would have been nice if they could have included a fang head with no blood around his mouth. And it's odd they haven't given him the red lining or the Legosi colour version, especially since the black and white version has the lining in the cape.
I got him straight from NECA is the US !! I saw it on there sight and had to have one. I always thank the problem with this Dracula is do you want blood or not the versions of him I have painted over the years have usually been blood free. It's a shame they didn't add the red in the cape it would have made the figure really pop on the shelf even more.
The sculpts of the hands are particularly good. However, there's no red lining in the cape and the red tint that should be in the eyes of the fanged heads, is notably MIA. It was the trademark look that made Lee's take on Count Dracula, terrifying... Why was that ignored? Ah, well.. more mods to be done, I guess.
We have waited a long time for some hammer characters so it's great to finally have this but it does have a few little "problems". I hadn't thought about the eyes been redder but I have been told he didn't get the red lining till later movies.......so I'm going to have to watch them all again !!
It doesn't say Christopher Lee on the box because the credits were below the name of the film & in tiiiny writing Besides, When was the last time you saw Robert Englund or Kurt Russell's name on the box?
I haven't found any of these that aren't pre-order on aliexpress. I'm looking for a new seller on there myself every so often they all seem to "close".
@@Returnoftherocketman I've made a little hobby of repainting Neca figures. I recieved a really poor quality bootleg of Fred Krueger from ebay a few years ago so decided to custom paint it. It's now in my Freddy v Jason shelf display. Currently working on an Alien big chap to make it screen-accurate. Toughest paint job I've attempted so far. An airbrush would be ideal ☺
Looks a great figure and I'm impressed by the likeness. Definitely one I will be picking up
I have to say the likeness gets better every time I look at him. Figures always look better in natural light.

That Van Helsing needs to come quickly it looks so good and we definitely need more Hammer figures
Thanks for the shovel advice

And the cover of the boxes, the original poster for the movie
I just think there was better posters
Will get this and repaint the eyebrows. Lee practically had a monobrow in HoD.
I'm going to have to find my old DVD of HoD and have a look.
@@Returnoftherocketman His cufflinks should be red too...😁
@@Returnoftherocketman The close up during the Count's introduction. Male grooming products were obviously not a thing in 1950's England 😂

Thank you for watching. I'm so glad I help you pick your figures its difficult here in the UK we get everything later than the rest of the world
@@Returnoftherocketman Did you pre-order it? Forbidden Planet has a Jan '05 release date?

Nice! That’s the head I’d use also
There all great heads but that is the most Dracula of them
What we have been waiting for 🎉
👍👍👍👍👍🦇
I'll go without food for a week to be able to grab this one 😂
Wow that's something I couldn't do ..........

@@Returnoftherocketman I really hope Neca run with Hammer figures, we could potentially get some of the best horror figures ever!!.👍🚀⚰️🚀🦇👍

The red-lined cape didn't make an appearance until Dracula Prince of Darkness
Do you like this one more than the previous Lugosi releases by NECA?
That's a difficult question.......there both great figures and I have a lot of love for anything universal monsters I think there about equal

True but some of the universal monsters have the actors estate logos on them because they have to get permission for the likeness
@@Returnoftherocketman And what image exactly do you think would have been better for the front of the box?
Thats a crap box art. Maybe they cant pay royalties on the actual movie poster. Great figure!
It’s an actual film poster
@@winstonsmith3370 to be honest ive never seen the movie just clips of Christopher Lee as dracula.
It is a film poster but there are much better ones for this film. I do think it's a rights issue with likeness of Christopher Lee
It's the original US release poster. The Uk 'Dracula' one was way better, but the Spanish one tops them all IMHO
Hey do you have a link to an AliExpress seller? I used one i trusted but he seems to have packed up. Ta

A fantastic figure, as per usual with Neca. A few minor paint tweaks and it will be nigh-on perfect.
I wish I still had the eyesight to do paint tweaks
