Ey Echelon 4:20, that $250 is before payment processing fees and taxes, BSG don't eat those costs, you have to cover for them. You're looking at over 300+ dollars/euros for that dog water.

You have to understand that UK consumer protection is amongst the best in the world.
US consumer protection isn't worth a wet fart, but in the UK it can get a company shut down, banned from trading and the directors banned from trading in the UK for life.

so star citizen has ships that are locked behind other ships if you buy the most expensive ship at roughly 1k on the normal page it unlocks a hidden page of ships that go up to like 15k in price which if you are so crazy and buy that ive heard that there is a third page cant confirm the third page tho but second page is confirmed by multiple sources so no it doesnt

@@onedigits9755 It does. There's no ship that's 'locked behind other ships' if you're talking about a civilian ship turning into its military version. There's only two ships right now that are like that the F8C Lightning and F7C Hornet Mk II. Players who are playing the PTU with their pledges were given tokens upon completing events corresponding to those ships. Oddly I do not own those ships but I have the tokens on my account accredited to change them into their military ship. I also own some of these "expensive" ships in game, that are released already.
Why do people just go "omg CIG is charging 45,000 to play their game" when some guy gave a review of buying a 45 dollar pledge and owning an 800 dollar ship in game through earned currency.
@LarsLoveToMosh I still play it although I have only spent 40 bucks in the game. I find it fun and compete at the top so while it's p2w in a sense in the long run it's not more pay to start.
Battle State Games has always been super shady. I remember them telling people there was no need for a demo to benchmark the game because they could just buy and refund if performance was bad. They then denied refunds to anyone who asked for one.
I won't go anywhere near Tarkov until and unless it's on Steam where I'm not at BSG's mercy for a refund.

It's genuinely amazing to see a games discord and subreddit, the usual first things that get locked down, openly support fan outrage. You've gotta drop the ball HARD to pull that off.
Probably because unlike the large western publisher/developers, they don't have access to the same bot-nets that will flood them with "support" and didn't want to buy the "community managers" that hate gamers.
You know companies like EA, Ubisoft, Epic... You know they have huge money pits to throw at buying "support" and paying people to maintain power in places like Reddit/Discord. I'd say most times you'd think this should happen, it would happen, if not for companies having non-employees on the payroll somewhere to silence it.

@@shock226There is really no great way of knowing how many times you’ve died to a cheater in Tarkov, but after 2k hours I’d say around 10 times. Obviously could be more, but I don’t think much more. They should have invested in the post raid replay system instead of arena but that’s 20/20 hindsight.

@@globmonkey200716102 I heard this from another content creator. He claimed that he knew people that got banned, but who knows. I have installed and played SPT and have had 0 issue.
The offline mode is literally them playing catch-up with fan-made forks of the original game that people get for free if they already own a license of the game. People went and improved BSG's game on their own years ago, and now BSG wants to charge people again for features they weren't going to add until people added them on their own. Mind you, you can't run these forks of the game unless you already own it, so it's not a hacked version.

I think it's for the better. The same way angry and unresponsive devs/studios gave rise to better independant studios that wanted their own standalone and somewhat niche game. Tarkov needs to die in order for the medium to progress in a new direction. Or some BSG execs/financiers need to step down for the artists to express their full potential. My bet is that they sell part of their IP to go and finance their new 2028 game under a new name, Tarkov somewhat lives on under a new publisher/studio, BSG tries to wipe their Arena investment debt clean with their new project, etc.

The game with spt is possible to crack, ive done it, but anyway its probably very far from being a top of the table pirated game, there are just a few how have done it and there isnt even a lot of places to get the game files, theres just one or two websites how have those. But the game can be cracked with the help of spt, since the game need a server to run. The thing is that the spt comunity is not supporting this cracking, its made by other ppl so its not extended or anything. But for that you have to do a lot of manual instalations that the majority doesnt know how or want to do, so thats something.
As for why this is such a thing for bsg, is what i saw also with other games, the company how developed and sell the game want a part of the pie of the micro market that is going in the modding comunity. Some have even tryed to start legal actions against mods, i dont remember what game was, maybe was skyrim i dont know for sure. As far as i know spt comunity is not charging for any of their work, but occasioanlly some put a link for donation method. And even if bsg reason is to grab more money from a mode that the community of tarkov has ben asking a lot, i believe that is a terrible idea to lock the access for it behind such a tremendous amount of money. It should have been in the worst case a dlc for $20 or $30 even up to $50 we could see it as fair.
I mean, if they want that ppl like me buy the game, this is clearly not the way, if i had $150 to buy the eod or whatever cost the standar edition i would have done it in the past. If they want ppl like me to buy the game, they should lower the price for the standard and then do whatever you want with the top edition. Someone said in a video reaction of the new edition, that it would have been less dramatic if bsg said "look we ran out of money we need your support to finish the game" and i totaly agree. I think that most of you who bought the game and specially the eod, feel bad becouse they lied, and tryed to hide all saying that none of that was a dlc and the ppl who payed for the eod and all future dlc basically got scamed in the face. Thats what pisses ppl the most after all. And thats why im not ashamed of having an ilegal copy of the game since i really can't afford it, we are living with a salary of $380 here on Argentina, with a rampant inflation, loss of jobs, cut's in expenses beyond anything we have saw since the 70's. I should not even be talking here since i didn't pay for the game, but im being honest, wich is more than bsg is doing right now. And i think that honesty is a value more important than money, trust is something more important than money. So if by any means this comment get to someone in bsg, think about it, you cant shit on the face of those how have supported you and lie about it, and believe it hasn't consecuences. It would have been 1000 times better if you just say the truth like : "look guys we fuck it up with arena and now we are afraid of the buch of competition we will have this year with gray zone, arena breakout and the others, we need your support and we need more money to finish the game". I think that the 80% of the playerbase would have been more receptfull of the new edition and even would have think of buying it just to support not becouse they really need it.

the 250 dollar edition has promises to give a "unique" "distress signal device" to owners in the future which has the following description, "Once activated, all players on your friends list will receive a notification that they can join your raid to help you."
This is absolutely insane as you could just use it and call in people that were previously killed in the same raid or call people with the intention of receiving replacements for your friends who have died, and since this item is unique, it cannot be owned by anyone who doesn't own the 250 dollar edition

No because there was some competition and all of them failed hard to compete against Tarkov (even COD and BF) and there were so much clone that even the ppl when they hear "extraction shooter", they are tired of it because everyone tried to take the cake from BSG. And now you have that Tencent version incoming that doesn't look promising at all and you have bungie with Marathon although the report even said that they might change it because they changed the game director with the one from Valorant iirc and are going for an arena shooter (aka OW/Paladins)

If it wasn't for the streamers living in symbiosis with this rotting carcass of a game, injecting pure copium into the player base it would have died a long time ago. But now it has gotten to the point where the general community is in state of stockholme syndrome because the game they spent their life playing is bad, and it is only going to get worse with BSG's complete incompetency and greed.
It is a truly a sight to behold that BSG managed to do something dumb enough to shock even those die-hard fanatics into an open revolt with this new edition.

ya it kind of was but they did throw in arena which was cool. but this is just pure greed, like i would be ok with people paying extra money to get skill boosts since skills are pretty easy to grind already if you know how to play the game but giving them persistent profile that doesn't wipe so they can practice the end game is just absurd, they better change that and give that mode to edge of darkness players too, because they've promised to us in the past that there would be no more wipes.
I'm not a BSG supporter and I quit the game but the "better start" is very much not the problem, it only saves some grind time (only a couple of hours at that if you're good) and doesn't just give an advantage. The new things from this edition are a new kind of pay to win though

Been a tarkov player since the second wipe, played about 6 wipes with my standard account. When they annouced Arena and said i had to pay for it, i stopped playing entirely. They have completely ruined the game with their greed and i refuse to pick it back up

If people didn’t buy their $150 test run, there wouldn’t be a $250 package. It’s hard to sympathize with someone who’s part of the problem.
EOD kinda made sense when it was added though. sure, it was overpriced. but, when EFT was new it had like 1 or 2 streamers and was spending a ton of money so to even get access to the pre-alpha you had to buy EOD. the other editions you would purchase then just sit there waiting on them to release it. the FOMO made a lot of people get it because it looked like a blast but was extremely buggy and had nothing to do (quests werent added for like another year or two after pre-alpha)
Never bought into Tarkov myself. Would've tried it years ago if friends were interested, (in getting killed by wall hacks etc).
Nowadays Gray Zone Warfare is winning my interest in the genre.

It's so funny when a dev puts "free access to XYZ" in a bundle that's higher price than the default entry cost. It's not free then, I'm paying for it. In the case of the $150 version, you're $100 more dollars(pretty sure base price is $50) then another $250 for the rest.

Tarkov is not pay to win and never has been. I havent played since last wipe, this new update seems like bullshit to me but EOD is far from "pay to win". the difference between EOD and standard is totally irrelevant after like 3 weeks of wipe.

Thats wrong on UEs part. The post isnt about the new "gamemode" (which isnt a dlc but a standalone game that you start in the old game...) but about normal offline raids. Which have been added as a seperate purchase some time ago and have been included in eod for a long time

I was thinking for a while that the $150 starter bundle thing was what was being complained about - only to find out that no, he wasn't complaining about the $150 bundle - he was complaining about the $250 bundle he would have to buy on top of the $150 bundle to get all the features he wanted. Had this game gifted by a friend and I still felt robbed.
The only thing I know of Tarkov is that it has a lot of hackers in the game and that it's PVP only.

been playing since 2017, over 3000 hours and this is what finally broke me. i've finally escaped.
I played it for 10 hrs and realized it's a convoluted mess of a game...they slap the "realism" tag on it for people to dismiss the god awful janky mechanics/systems
-to be fair.. im not sure if bsg states anywhere that the new coop offline mode will not be granted to EOD owners. i might be wrong on that, but i can't recall a single instance where that was mentioned.- **** correction **** they actually HAVE stated that it is NOT dlc but rather a "unique gamer feature" only included in the new edition..

I bought EOD around 2 years ago, I would say I have received my money's worth from the time I've spent playing, haven't touched the game for around a year now and to be honest after what they pulled with this whole unheard edition I won't be touching it again.

The past couple of weeks BSG has been making some good changes to the game and i was excited to get back into it then all this dropped its fucking so disheartening because i cant support them any further if this is the direction they are going.
We have a saying in my country that translates to basically: "Russian is always a Russian."
We use it exactly for this kind of stuff. Eventually their mask will always slip.

I think that's the fastest 180 I've ever experienced. "Oh, Tarkov is adding PVE? I'm finally interested! It's $250? Well NEVERMIND THEN."
You also missed that one of the items you get from the Unheard edition makes it so scavs (AI) won't aggro past 60 meters. Another item you get in it allows you to call your friends MID RAID for them to join and help you.
These have both been debunked, the radio does make scars not aggro past 60 meters but kills scars with it drops your rep faster. Also the item that you can use to "call friends" isn't available yet and likely won't be available until the game releases in its open world phase

@@tazeschwifty4363 You debunked nothing lol. Not being aggro'd by scavs is a huge advantage, rep hit for killing them or not. Nikita said open world isn't happening for release and maybe never, so that's moot. In a leaked Q&A today Nikita seemed adamant about adding the call in friends feature, so it is happening. I don't see how "It's not in yet" is supposed be a debunk, the fact that they are eventually going to add such a game breaking item is bad.

I'm experiencing the same thing with pubg currently. I'm so tired of the predatory money grabbing BS. I'm not paying a 100 dollars for a Ducati skin. I feel embarrassed to say that. I've spent already 35 dollars trying to get it. Only to get absolutely nothing. I might as well have gambled with the lottery.

So glad I never supported this developer. They keep doing the wrong thing and keep getting let go...
To be fair, off-line COOP practice was included in the EOD for free as promissed in that developer post. For others it costs about $13 and still can be found on the site. Now they add saving progression in this mode for a $130 upgrade cost from EOD and other mentioned stuff.
Not enough people talking about the instant access to ETS servers! I have 4k hours in game, have EOD, and applied for ETS access, and I don't have it. SheefGG, big EFT streamer with 15k hours who has directly contacted BSG for ETS access does not have it. But spend 250$ and get immediate access to ETS. This is the biggest middle finger to an incredibly dedicated gaming community that I've witnessed in a minute.
I have no idea what the fuck they are doing as if nobody would notice. This is such a clown fiesta.
I've wanted to get into Tarkov so bad but everytime I download it, Im sharply reminded why I didnt continue 😅 blessing in disguise.
try SPT with a few ai mods, it eases the learning curve quite a bit, fixes the hackers issue, netcode doesn't matter and it runs better.
I want to play it but the way the skill leveling works it's gives the people with less time an even bigger disadvantage. I'm surprised no one talks about this and EOD is just as bad lmao.
it is not for everyone, and there is nothing wrong with that. @gduck77will20 is right, with all the try hard streamers milking the game for years, it is that much harder for more casual gamers. I am excited to see the try hards move on, it should be a much better playing experience.
Get SIT mod, or SPT, you can play singleplayer or coop on latest patch without even buying the game.
“Hahaha….look familiar?” Helldivers academy is always accepting new cadets for Super Earth and managed democracy. Best part? Everything even beginning weapons are viable at all levels and you can unlock everything in game without paying for more than the base game minus a couple cosmetic items. We are always accepting new divers

I've never played this game, but I've seen a few streams. The game looks A LOT better than what you saw here. This footage looks like it was recorded on a run down lap-top, on lowest settings possible.

@@ethanwasme4307 I understand the game looks better - I purchased it to play with a friend but we didnt last long on it. If I recall correctly, the optimization of the game was also pretty bad and/or just chewed up a lot of resources so you only got the most out of it if you had a massive gaming rig. Most dont so just because something can do it for the 1% doesnt mean thats most peoples experience. I for one judge products on the highest % use case and I have read a lot of people complain about the game being unplayable on higher end graphics - due to this being a highly competitive/hardcore game type you can imagine players wanting as few resources possible so most are going to play on lower end graphics. Point is then make sure the game is optimized. This would mean your goal is to make the game look good AND run well.
Its a bit of a gaslight to make your game look good but tank gameplay when its highly dependent on response times and then turn around and tell people "well lower your graphics" when your game still doesnt look good enough to warrant chewing up as much resources as it does.

The removal of the word "Unique" in the secure container, I feel like need some more explaining.
I still have no idea of what it actually is, and how it maybe could be perceived as "unique".
Maybe they intended for that item to be unique, but just did not make it so.

You cannot always do this but I did this all through grad school and I believe the result was I got a better education. (2) read and understand the syllabus. (3) do the readings !!!!!! (4) remind yourself you are not always right about the subject (.e.g., be open minded). (5) a degree does not mean the prof is right (I tell my students my PhD doesn't mean I'm right; only that I have a lot to say). (6) be open to taking classes not directly related to your chosen field/major/job. I was a philosophy major while also a system designer for electrical systems on aircraft. -+ have a good day +-

@UpperEchelon just a minor correction the offline coop for EOD is referring to the mode that does not have progression it is just for map exploration with your friends. the coop with progression is new and it is still scummy that EOD people like myself and yourself dont get it.

I always love to see the new way BSG throws tarkov down the drain a bit further with each update. Haven't played in years at this point, a game that once had alot of potential thrown away for greed, and realism for the sake of realism and forgetting to let the game be fun.

Tarkov wasn’t even supposed to be an extraction shooter, and yet is had defined an brand new genre of games.
I don’t regret paying for EOD, but I do regret giving my money to BSG….
