Kamala already agreed to the format which makes it hard for these guys to spin it. Now she wants to bring notes and have opening statements which would help anyone who does not know their policies - she just can't wing it like most politicians can. So there is panic that she will reveal herself on any of many topics that she normally fumbles. Or when she really does not know the topic she says "I think we should have that conversation"...but not now 🙂. If she can get one moment from the debate where she can say "I'm speaking" she can play the man talking down to a women card and then go back into hiding for the rest of the campaign. - this is the biggest hope e.g. to play the gender card and distance as much as possible from the past 3.5 years. It is so unfortunate the democrats were not able to put up one of their preferred candidates. Now we are stuck with Kamala who honestly no one wanted to be on the top of the ticket (including Pelosi and Obama). It will be interesting to see if the media can carry her over the finish line. Impressive job so far. But then we will have no idea what her handlers will put into practice when she is elected. Sad state of affairs that the Democrats are in this dilemma.
