great memories and God bless Rick parfitt , followed quo since 1971 but time catches up with us all and the party is over now , with Rick passing they will never be the same ,
Vždy mi udělá radost vidět český komentář u videa Status Quo. Jsem vždy rád, že nás je víc, ke kterým se v našich končinách dostala tato skvělá kapela.
Watch Hello Quo , the official documentary. Alan says it’s Rubbish about Margarita time - it wasn’t the main reason he left at all. He didn’t think the song was right for the band, but he said, I wouldn’t have played on it , if I hated it so much, He left because his and Rossi’s relationship was strained and he didn’t agree with the direction he felt the band was going in!
End of the Road tour. Except it wasn't the "end of the road". They sacked Alan Lancaster 🎸 and made a comeback with the pop song In the Army Now...woah....woah....you're in the army....now! It was all downhill from there! 😦😦😦
@@valepoli8777 Alan went to live in Australia plus Alan didn't like the direction Quo were taking with songs like Marguerita Time. Rossi was turning Quo into a pop band. 1984 was meant to be the "end of the road" tour. But Rossi and Parfitt decided to make a comeback without Alan which led to a court case since Alan was the founder member of the band and they carried on using the name Status Quo without Alan. An out of court settlement was reached which was then followed by Quo (minus Alan) releasing the In the Army Now album, which wasn't the real Quo. They soon went downhill after Alan Lancaster left, RIP. All their classic Top 10 singles were released in the late 1960's, the 1970's plus early 80's. Nothing special was released after Alan Lancaster left the band in 1984.
Thanks a lot for your answer I was very intrested about that. So Alan left the Band no sack, and why did they a comeback without Alan? They were So amazing all together....😍😍😍😍🔝
@@valepoli8777 They had a contract with the record label to make another 2 albums after Alan left the band. If that was the case, why pretend they were doing an "end of the road" tour in 1984. Together as the Frantic Four they were great together. They were never the same again after Alan left or was sacked. There was an out of court settlement that Alan accepted after he left.
Loe it when you gus accross the water hear the Quo for first time. Like that you started with Caroline. This was not the original line up, the original drummer an bassist were replaced and since this concer we have lost Rick Parffit. I woul suggest you try a video of ghe original line up with Alan Lancaster on bass and John Coghlan on drums. Try Paperplane, road House blues or thi one which is a favourite of mine, but not often played live Dirty Water ruclips.net/video/Wbutcpex1e8/видео.htmlsi=2OlMCYbu-RmYbcrz Much as i enjoy Quo through the years (63now) the original line up is what i want.
Rossi's guitar solo is a melodic masterclass. I was there, fantastic gig. R.I.P Rick and Alan.
I was there. Great day and Quo were onstage for nearly 3 hours. They were the best band in the world that night.
i was there too
I am jealous but I am glad you both made it 🙂

Best concert they did was The Monsters of Rock in 1982 , wish I had a time machine.......
That gig wasn't great under rehearsed terrible sound Quo admit that themselves
still love this and I was born in 81!
I was there, great concert
love nuff's little ascending double-stops at 2:19, very reminiscent of 'rearrange' etc.
Status Quo -rockova legenda . Jednoduchost- genialita.

That is cool Country Rock that was passable by Alan Lancaster.
Margeurita Time is not cool. That's one of the main reasons that Alan left the band.

I’ve often wondered who Rossi is saying ‘whoa baby’ to? Is it Kircher the drummer for going too fast or Bown or Lancaster?

Why did they sack him (Alan)? 😟
