My hunting buddy and I are 49 years old, we’ve been hanging out since kindergarten. Over 40yrs. Anytime we go duck hunting, we bring DVDs of the A-Team or the Duke boys or knight rider we have some drinks and watch the shows and get ready for the next days hunt. A couple times there’s been a few fellas that have hunted with us and said what are you guys doing those are stupid. Let’s just say they never hunted with us again. Theirs just something about these shows that will always be great.
Dirk Benedict was much better than the actor in the pilot. I don't think there would have been the magic between Murdock and Face if they had kept this boy instead.
Tim Dunigan ended up in a short-lived series called "Captain Power" during the 1987-1988 season. I read an interview with him in Starlog Magazine during that season. He was told by the producers that they wanted a (slightly?) older actor for the role if I'm not mistaken.

@@robertray4191 I personally like the comedy and actors in the show. But the actions in the movie was a better, and the actors did a great job of giving life to the original characters. So personally I would say the series was funnier and the movie had better effects and action scenes.

Tim Dunigan was okay as Face, but I prefer Dirk Benedict in the role, and Murdock (who they only kept because of such enthusiastic audience feedback -- and he's my favorite) made some subtle changes in how he played his character.

That's right, if you were born in the 1970's or 1980's, you really grow up watching your favourite shows. Shows like The A-Team, Miami Vice, The Brady Bunch, Magnum P.I Married...with Children. But, I was born in 1994, I grew up watching Friends, Two and a Half Men, Scrubs, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother
Absolutely True. Think back when you were a kid in the 80's. The AMOUNT of WORRY a 10 year old has back then. Compared to a 10 year old and their pile of worries Today. Adults who were 80's kids are way more balanced today.
I honestly kinda of liked Decker better than Lynch. Colonel Lynch was Major Frank Burns to Colonel Decker's Major Winchester, so to speak. For those who don't know MASH, what I am saying is that Lynch was an incompetent oaf with his lights out while Decker, although having similar results in capturing the A Team, was at least smarter and more unorthodox

The character of Face was written and created with Dirk Benedict in mind for the role, but studio execs decided that the role should be given to someone else. When the pilot was completed, the same execs decided that Tim looked too young to be seen as a believable Vietnam veteran. Also at 6 ft 5 he was much taller than any of the other cast. So they gave it back to Dirk.
The scene at 3:07 - obviously that is a "Roman Empire" setup. I believe the second episode of the short-lived time-traveling NBC-TV series "Voyagers!" was filmed there. Far out.
