    Great video, thank you for uploading! I use the same method for cutting my shells, but I'm always having second thoughts regarding the type of saw to use. Do you have any thoughts about this? Are you using a "regular" crosscut saw?

    Did you have trim the wrap from the new edge for head clearance to match the other side?

    I have always thought that this was an easy, accurate way to cut down shells. For an even more accurate cut, have the "keeper" piece ride on the table and the "cut off" on the top to avoid messing around with shims to keep the shell level and keep the truing sanding to a minimum.

      That would destroy the bearing edge assuming you want to keep it as is.

      Yes. I use a table saw myself. Also...I would have went with 14" instead of 11".
