I read Cackle a while ago and I thought at the time that it was so bad it was good, if you know what I mean - I have found myself liking it more the more I think back on it, it was certainly unusual - I recommend the ‘rules of magic’ series for those who want something seriously witchy with not so much chic lit, or horror - those books are a really good happy medium for me, and historically interesting too. - I think I could read about that family forever

I read Cackle last year. I annotated all of it and couldn’t believe it got published. 😩 The creepy story was definately there BUT it felt like I was reading a first draft and that it never touched an editor’s desk- or if it did, then yikes😣. The writing was 🫠🥴. I wanted to like it and read all of to see if it got better. But I was very disappointed. But I did just order in the Company of Witches 😀. It looks like it is out of publishing and ordered from Abebooks.

I just finished in A Company of Witches. I really enjoyed it. I read the Dead Romantics over the summer. This was a favorite of mine. Read Cackle in 2022 and fell in love with the story. It had so many twists that it kept me wondering what would happen next.
