Catching DINNER in Pasco County, Florida

In this episode, I went fishing in Pasco County, Florida in my Mako Pro Skiff 17. I used mud minnows for bait to catch mangrove snapper near some structure on the flats. I took some of the snapper home to have a nice fried fish dinner!

Enjoying your videos. I am kayak fishing with the same Old Town 106 and have been thinking of adding a small flats boats to the mix to be able to cover more water and add a head or two- I'm looking at the Mako 15cc. Can I ask how you are liking your 17 skiff? Do you think it was a good investment? A part of me thinks it may not be worth it, and should just stick with the kayak fishing.

I like the mako a lot. The only issues Ive had were electrical. I had to change my trolling motor wires and clean up the connections behind the rocker switches. I think eventually I pull out higher quality 3rd party rocker switches that don’t corrode as easily. But the vessel itself and motor are awesome and good starter boat in my opinion. Kayak is still fun to get in the nooks and crannies in the mangroves though.
