The exodus of Oxygen users is already on its way to Bricks (+500 members in 2 days). Which will certainly cause the slow death of Oxygen in a more or less short time. A good part of the community no longer has confidence (based on facts) in the choices of the company which has not respected these commitments. The CEO turned around and made too many mistakes. This is a backdoor way of not honoring their LTD when they claimed it was viable. The communication is very bad and without going into futile details, if Oxygen is not profitable with what money could they have spent 3 years with more engineers to breakdance without responding to the demand of Oxygen users? I have followed these 3 years as an Oxygen user, all that has been said and all the "drama" and unfortunately they are going to have to recover from a dramatic situation that they have created. Trust is broken...

That's a bit dramatic. Nothing is happening with Oxygen. Lifetime licenses are fine, updates will continue at the same pace as always, bugs and features will still be worked on as always.
They are different projects and Breakdance is not a replacement for Oxygen.
BD is a competitor for Divi and Brizy and such, while Oxygen is the kind of "Webflow for WordPress" for developers who want deeper control.
Elijah is running things for Oxygen and they have the same dev resources as always working on it.
The big problem with Oxygen is that it's kind of old now. Legacy framework on Angular 1 and due to number of customers and sites, they have to maintain backward compatibility and cannot rewrite from scratch at this point.
Anyway, Oxygen isn't going anywhere and the lifetime licenses are honored, and BD is not a replacement.

for me this was a storm in a teacup. Oxygen is still strong and they have no plan to kill this project... I will not move elsewhere. if I use anything else to buid sites, it will be a completely change, straigth to React applications.

Just found your channel. Great job so far!
For me, I just want to use a reliable builder. The main pain point for me is the sites that I support for clients -- I don't want to keep building different sites with different builders and I'd like to have one that I can rely on for at least 5 years per site (I deal with a lot of govt. clients and they are slow to redesign so they need longer term solutions that don't die out). I'll keep using Oxygen since I only recent transitioned to it, and I like what it can do. But if Bricks keeps building up, I might switch over (slowly) in a couple years.
But yeah ... I love me some shiny new toys. Don't know if I want to pay $149 / year for this though. That can buy me a lot of tacos... ;-)

I bougth recently a licence for oxygen, breakdance it's not the finish of oxygen, oxygen team it's gone to change licence term, it's going to be annual pay, that's mean that oxygen it's alive and support, but it's more for devs, breakdance it's like elementor, more easy and focus in user with graphic desing profile

Are you going to continue working with Oxygen or are you going to use another Page Builder?

For now I plan to continue to use Oxygen but that could quickly and easily change
