I've been a TV producer/director for many years, actually since Chicago dropped its first album. To do this, to have the balls to do this, to perform a massive original hit by one of the greatest groups ever, and to match it against a film of a performance by the originals, and to not just pull it off on the nose, but to totally kill it, this is true brilliance. RIP Maurice, bless you Sergey, I hope you are well. Thank you Leonid for such vision and daring.

The best cover band in the world and in history.
This band is a total shock for many musicians including me. I don’t know how to grade their skills. To call them great...fantastic....? It doesn’t do justice to their talent! ALL OF THEM are like the cells of a well trained body creating something that many of us didn’t know it was even existed!
Most, if not all, have degrees from prestigious Russian music schools and conservatories so not surprising.
Imagine doing that without really being able to speak English and working it all out by ear.....I saw them open at the village and was really surprised after the show when they did the meet and greet and I realize how heavily accented their English was, it’s probably improved a lot since...but damn....

I manage three fluently (Dutch, English, German) and a fourth (French) passable. But then I only managed a BSc in Engineering. Ksenia - besides being an achieved singer and virtuoso piano player - has a Masters in Economics to boot. That young woman can write her own future.

To have Ksenia Buzina as backing vocal is a bit like to have Lionel Messi on the substitutes bench. But L. Messi wouldn´t have that much fun like she has.

Ironically enough, a few years ago we had the pleasure of seeing Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire in concert. To this day, one of the best concerts EVER.
This cover is absolutely awesome.
Both bands were brilliant. Chicago were a great jazz/rock band with very talented musicians. Terry Kath was a great guitarist. Blood Sweat. A d Tears were just as good.
For someone that has grown up with that 70’s and 80’s music … I can deeply say that you are not only musicians but magicians!!! Your music is magically perfect !!!
I just went to one of their concerts in Florida yesterday night and they were so amazing! They sound just like their recording. They sure blew me away! I love them!I can't wait to see them again. There are no words that could describe their brilliant performance!

Don't call them a cover band. Three Dog Night was a cover band, so was Herman's Hermits, so was Paul Revere's Raiders. So were so many great bands. These guys are incredible.

"Tribute Supergroup" what an apt description - much better than 'cover band'.
I know it hurts (me at least) but sometimes a band can actually improve on the original. Old memories can make you think it was better than it was. This band’s/ensemble’s versions are incredible.
Legends are legends for a reason. Because they brought something above and beyond what everyone was doing. I can't think of any artists from the last 20 years who will ever reach the legend status that Earth Wind and Fire reached.
If you're going to cover the works of legends you'd better bring it. And boy did they bring it.
Wow! To see these side by side really illustrates how well Leonid transcribed the music and how masterful they performed and recreated an icon sound. Gives me goosebumps!

Leonid, the mixing is superb. The band sounds better than the original and I'm a huge fan of Chicago. I bet they are really proud or Leonid & Friends. Thanks for keeping Chicago's music alive.
I don't think any other cover band on the planet can do the originals more justice, if not be better than the original.. L&F record digitally and you can hear more instruments and clearer sound as if in the studio with EW&F. Jaw-dropping!

That was incredible to hear them together. Shows what a great job Leonid did in arranging and how well it was carried out. Of course, it also shows how great the original was.
September one of the best dance and rhythmic songs in history, Earth Wind and Fire its great creators and Leonid and friends unbeatable with this version, a wealth of good musicians, who love the music of great groups in history.

This is INSANE how in sync L&F are to EW&F!!!!
L & F have two albums on iTunes. I highly recommend them. They're all Chicago songs, but it's just as brilliantly done as this E W & F cover. I'm hoping they include their non-Chicago songs on a third album.
Agree about the sync. Tempo adjustment alone could not achieve that.
Give a LOT of credit to Igor. His drumming drives the tempo that delivers the sync.

Leonid & Friends are outstanding musicians and fantastic performers! The joy and enthusiasm in their performances is electric. As a retired music teacher, I used EW&F's September with my students to demonstrate how professional groups would push tempo as a tune progressed. In the original recording, EW&F picked up the tempo by almost 12 beats a minute from beginning to end. Leonid & friends didn't quite do that, but still managed a 6-8 beat push. I always wondered if it was planned or was an important nuance of the recording they loved.

Leonid and Friends ended their Clearwater, Florida concert with this song a few years ago and it was great then. This compilation with the insert of the original by EW and F is over the top, what a wonderful assemblage of fine musicians and performers all excellent in what they do. Compliments to all of you who took part in this production!!!

The bass line is exact 100% between 2 videos, feeling like there is only 1 bass. Perfect working!

I played Trumpet in our HS school band and when we played this song all 24 of us trumpets would unleash on those Trumpet riffs at the end. We loved it.

Brings me to tears. Love love live on . I can't sleep at night music keeps playing in my mind,when I'm in kitchen, when driving, bought their cd waiting for it.
A little post-production magic on the vocals on this one, but Leonid and Friends do have the best studio production.
The joy is infectious and there is a lot of Ksenia. Her beautiful smile lights up the world.
Ksenia. She shines best in this kind of situation. The way she dresses in these backup singing roles is the very best. She doesn't need anything other than her smile, her movements and her casual clothes.

Me being a studio musician and familiar with editing I think you did a good job with editing and synchronization with both videos together with the audio. It must have been a heck of a job editing. I did see a few oit of sync moments but I think for the most part a job well done

EW&F was the very first band I saw as a young kid '78. Man they were great in concert! These guys and gal, do them all the justice in the world. Their sound is so clean. Love that horn section!! If you close your eyes you would swear the lead singer, Sergey is Maurice White in a different body. Damn they sound good!!
