Whoever says that programming is something to avoid either does not have the slightest idea of what programming really means or they say it because it suits them. You should not understand programming as the action of "pressing keys". That's not programming, man. Programming is extremely useful to know what, how and why what happens within a compiler, operating system, microcontrollers, RAM, cache, and much more. Programming allows us to unite the cause with the effect or result. It allows us to materialize our ideas. It allows us to materialize algorithms and data structures. It allows us to communicate with the hardware. To say that programming is avoidable is to have no idea what you are talking about or, as I already said, you have a real interest in making people stop programming, because, in this way, they will use artificial intelligence more and, therefore, your product will sell more, as is the case with Heng Yang. It's also not about continually re-inventing the wheel, of course.

100 % autonomous systems are very costly and difficult to make and maintain for most problems in the world (which are non polynomial). Semi Autonomous systems will increase the value and need for human effort and intelligence. Sir Arthur Clarke did not consider the economics of his predictions, since of course it would have been impossible to do in '64. The Devil, however, is in the details.
The industrial revolution did not slow us down, as it would intuitively would have been thought to.

There is an economic paradox in automation: if one day machines replace all humans, how will humans make money to buy the products made by machines? A possible optimistic scenario would be something like the world of Star Trek, where machines provide such a surplus that all people have what they need "for free". A more realistic possibility is what has always happened: new types of work will emerge and humans will migrate to these tasks, perhaps in the metaverse. There is also the "Elon Musk scenario", with cooperation between the work of AI and human intellect through a brain computer interface. Interesting times lie ahead.

Great video and editing. I keep hearing predictions that we will have AGI by '27. Looking to other past events (like military weapons) I think we already have it and it will just be made it public in '27. I wonder how much freedom we will have in the coming changes. Sure some will go live off grid but for the rest of us, what will that new world look like? I can daydream about the grandest Utopia or the most horrible beast system Dystopia and they both seem entirely possible not in 30 years but we will be well into the process of system change in 5 to 10 years. UBI will probably be needed but who determines if you are a good person? If I'm a right winger and am in charge, who's to say I won't be more critical of you and your more liberal beliefs and decide to punish you by messing with your income directly or the UBI algorithm or visa versa? The most critical question is, will the budget monthly subscription for Neuralink contain adds?🤣

AI is only good for replicating photos and videos. Not real stuff. Making real stuff requires energy. Distributing them takes even more. Distributing them equitably requries a lot lot more, since And not matter how much AI you do, that's won't go way. That makes this video quite an outcome of immature understanding of physical reality and a juvenile understanding of technological progress (including AI).
In fact no technology ever reduced human work. Cos, in a profit driven economy, the more efficient the instruments of productions are, the higher profit is possible and higher profit is seeked. The result is pretty clear, most of us own much less material property than our ancestors, and work way harder to make less. Do u even have any idea how or why AI will break it? Personally, I'll say, AI will just increase our workload while reducing the pay even more. Which is already happening.
