Tatsu was the last coaster of its scale that had a massive price tag open at the park. Obviously we have had other coaster openings since then but nothing as expensive as Tatsu. Do you think we will see another coaster like the scale of Tatsu at Magic Mountain again?
We've had a lot of additions but nothing really that noteworthy. Six flags has been really afraid to spend that much money on one thing. There have been some fun and unique stuff like Twisted Colossus, Full throttle, WCR, and Wonder Woman but nothing to really get the industry buzzing like it should because MM is a flagship park. Hopefully that will happen soon.
I think a restaurant would be cool up there. They can make it more on the affordable side but what would be awesome is a nice balcony overlooking the full throttle coaster.
A giga-coaster would be awesome. I also think the park needs to add another water ride. I would love to see a water coaster as well but make it a really big and spectacular one worthy of the park.
Knotts wins for sure… we haven’t been able to go to Scary Farm for 15 years since we are out of state but had been going for over 10 years before the move and I can STILL smell their fog. Very specific.. 🥰😶🌫️👻🎃
Yes a giga would be really good for this park I think it would bring in more people I feel like a lot of the rides since Tatsu have never hit that 4-5 hour waiting mark and I would love to see that happen again at the park it definitely needs that Star roller coaster again
Like we have had some smaller investments over the years on new coasters but we need another MASSIVE coaster investment. Team that up with continued park beautification and it’s a win win.
Hey Dylan do you know what the average wait times for the mazes are for Fright Fest when you've gone? We are debating whether to get the regular or express pass for the haunted houses since we can only go one day this season (likely a Sunday). We can get there right when it starts but were wondering if it's gonna be like 2-3 hour waits per maze where the express could be worth it?
Question about fright fest. If I don’t buy the haunted attraction pass and only general admission, will I still be able to stay in the park until close and ride rides? Or do they ask you to leave when fright fest starts? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but newbie here.
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and we might go to Disney land with Michael's mom
I think it was either 2008 or 2009 was when SAW was last featured at fright fest, it was only one time though, surprised they aren’t going with horror nights.
I have a question, there’s a haunted attraction pass that is on sale for $25+processing fee but it “does not include park admission”. Can I still get in to the park but only for the haunted attractions part? Or do I have to buy a park admission ticket as well?
You need to purchase a park ticket to go in and a haunted house ticket separately. Fright Fest works a little different than the other attractions in SoCal.
The last major roller coaster at SFMM I can recall was *Viper* it has been that long ago since I went to the park. I remember trying ride *Batman* with my friend and unfortunately the lap bar would not go do down (my thighs were too big I guess). Speaking of spinning type rides, I really liked *Spin-Out* when I was younger, now that I am older; that's a pass for sure.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD Wow, all the good ones are gone from my childhood; first it was *Tidal Wave* and now *Spin Out.* What's next, *Jet Scream* or *Roaring Rapids.* BTW newer go on Roaring Rapids at 10PM and walk / running through the park at closing and getting back to your car (especially wearing blue jeans, been there and done that).
Probably nothing. A lot of theme parks and haunts do discounts before Halloween to push sales before they go back to full price model during the season. Nothing really new here.
Does anyone think that all the maze will be open by opening day? I want to go opening day but seen so many RUclips vlogs last year where some mazes still weren’t ready. It’s making me cautious to buy tickets for that day.
They should. They have about 3 1/2 weeks to get everything finished so if they have a big enough crew they could get it done. They could also be working on things off site too
Remove VIper...as that thing is old...still a decent ride...but it gives me and others a major headache most of the time! and replace it with a new Giga Coaster Vipers Revenge Those spinning rides like teen titans and carnival gravitrons...I just dont WANT to do them...I cant help but think if 1 person...just 1 person pukes...we are ALL getting splattered!!!
The pandemic really slowed down MM's momentum. Attendance was inching up before 2020, then it crashed. Six Flags can't do a lot without enough paying customers, & even basic maintenance ends up deferred (eg, wooden gates of Samurai Summit? Really, SF?). Since almost every vid of MM shows many of its visitors dressed up as wide-open, concrete pathways, SF is caught between a rock & hard place. More coasters or spin-&-puke rides go only so far, Valencia isn't a convenient location for various people & the nation's economy is affecting even the biggies like Disney & Universal. Still, a park in Germany built in the 1970s (MM goes back to 1971) that's a scatterbrained knock-off of a Disney park (Europa-Park draws 6 million visitors to MM's 2.5-3 million), Universal's & Disney's parks in Japan, &, of course, the parks (new, old, upcoming) in Orlando make MM & its quality & attendance really need to step up to the plate. .

Michael's straight face to Dylan's comedic role is so funny. Thanks for the update.
😂 It ends up making things even better
nice to see updates on SFMM. feels like people forget about this park since it's so far out for a lot of people
Glad you are enjoying the videos from the park. I feel like it’s hard to be a coaster fan and not want to go to Six Flags. 😁
Hey! It was awesome meeting you! So nice! Hope you enjoyed the park! 😊
Hope you had a great time in the park as well!
So excited for the new IPs! Even with the prices skyrocketing again, it helps improve the park so I’m all for it! Scream Break and all of it!
I’m really really interested in the new mazes this year. I really hope they do a great job with them.
The Laughing Dragon used to the "Four Winds" steakhouse back in the late 1970s...it was the most expensive restaurant in the park.
I think a restaurant would be cool up there. They can make it more on the affordable side but what would be awesome is a nice balcony overlooking the full throttle coaster.
Nice meeting you there, by twisted colossus! 😃
Likewise! Hope you had a great day at the park
Great video Dylan, I hope you and Michael have a fabulous weekend 😀 Stay cool
Thank you thank you!
Yay! You finally let Michael come with you!
Yeah Michael had the day off so he was able to join 😁
A giga-coaster would be awesome. I also think the park needs to add another water ride. I would love to see a water coaster as well but make it a really big and spectacular one worthy of the park.
Oh man that spinning ride is the one my family and I never go to. It just looks painful to get dizzy 😂
Too much for me haha
Nice!
Thanks!
Nice update. I never heard that the fog smells differently at different places... But then again, I don't do scary events. LOL 😁
Lol yeah they all smell a little different.
You are not crazy!!! I say the same thing each Haunt season. I love the smell of fog. Knotts has the best because they always pump out so much fog.
Oh for sure. Knott’s has some of the best out there. 😁
Knotts wins for sure… we haven’t been able to go to Scary Farm for 15 years since we are out of state but had been going for over 10 years before the move and I can STILL smell their fog. Very specific.. 🥰😶🌫️👻🎃
I hope I can make a trip to Six Flags one of these days again. Haven't been since 1995
Oh so much has changed since then! So many new roller coasters.
Yall arent crazy, fog is so good😍
It smells soo good!

@@ThemeParkObsessionDD Yes I hope they do something with samurai summit soon
I'm heading up to SFMM Aug 16 for National Roller Coaster Day. Wish they would have a more elaborate event
I hope they do a formal event one year. That would be pretty awesome.
Halloween is the most wonderful time of the year
The best!
🔥Xcelerator at Knott's started testing. 👍
I saw! Can’t wait to go back to the park to check it out.

I love the smell of fog! Love Halloween 🎃
Never gets old 😁

I’m early I love your videos including Updates with Magic Mountain
Glad you like them!
Did you see that apocalypse drop has been removed the track and wood was removed maybe a recent? Or re tracking?
Oh really? Dang I didn’t even notice that so yeah maybe they are working on a re-track
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and we might go to Disney land with Michael's mom

Hey, Dylan, what days do you mostly go to the parks , I'm mostly be at Six Flags, but I never see you there
It depends. Six Flags is usually once a week or so and the others like Disney and Uni are more often just because more is happening.
I think it was either 2008 or 2009 was when SAW was last featured at fright fest, it was only one time though, surprised they aren’t going with horror nights.
They prob worked out a deal with WB and since WB already has contacts with Six Flags I feel like this could be pretty good.
Do they offer tram service anymore. I worked a summer in the lot a long time ago
It depends on the day but usually they have a shuttle from the parking lot.
So they are going to demolish the “difficult” coasters with new ones instead? Which one should they demolish first?
I think Viper should go first
I have a question, there’s a haunted attraction pass that is on sale for $25+processing fee but it “does not include park admission”. Can I still get in to the park but only for the haunted attractions part? Or do I have to buy a park admission ticket as well?
You need to purchase a park ticket to go in and a haunted house ticket separately. Fright Fest works a little different than the other attractions in SoCal.
Do you know where the IP mazes are going to be located?
We don’t know for sure but we are thinking one is by the bumper cars and the other by Tatsu
Yeah I like fog smell too.
It’s the best

Oh I remember Spin Out. I never went on it because I didn’t want to get sick. But it was right over by Gold Rusher before they demolished it.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD Wow, all the good ones are gone from my childhood; first it was *Tidal Wave* and now *Spin Out.* What's next, *Jet Scream* or *Roaring Rapids.* BTW newer go on Roaring Rapids at 10PM and walk / running through the park at closing and getting back to your car (especially wearing blue jeans, been there and done that).
why are tickets 50% off rn whats the catch

@@ThemeParkObsessionDD Good to know, thanks for the info and great videos! 🙏
I want a giga coaster like fury 325 or a water coaster with the loop
Both of those options would be amazing.
Uh... Those Los Angeles people are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
30 years at Fright Fest and 50 at Knott’s. It’s going to be a really fun haunt season. 😁
@@ThemeParkObsessionDDI’m so ready for FF
Hi Dylan
Hey hey! Thanks for watching
I hope you consider growing a beard Dylan! that would fit you well! :)
Oh no lol not anytime soon at least.
Lucky #13
Hey that’s great especially because it’s nearly spooky season.
Forget giga, Magic Mountain needs a STRATA! Nothing on the West coast!! New Jersey, and Ohio have them, NOTHING west!! 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤔🤔
I mean that would be cool to have something as tall as Superman but idk, I’m leaning more towards a Giga.
Remove VIper...as that thing is old...still a decent ride...but it gives me and others a major headache most of the time! and replace it with a new Giga Coaster Vipers Revenge
Those spinning rides like teen titans and carnival gravitrons...I just dont WANT to do them...I cant help but think if 1 person...just 1 person pukes...we are ALL getting splattered!!!
I agree, I think Viper had its moment and can be put to rest. A new coaster in its spot would be better.

Well thankfully things are looking on the upside according to the latest call when it comes to new additions and continued renovations.
