Hello Ladies, I'm from the crazy state of Louisiana. I'm 68 and my father raised us Catholic and had us going to Catechism every Saturday each grade during the school year. When I got to be a rebellious teenager, I started questioning the bible that no one would talk about and I stopped going to Catechism and church. My father couldn't understand it but in his later year said he knows now why because he was reading how the Catholic Church murdered people in the past. There were Catholic priests getting busted for pedophilia at that time too. He and I became an Agnostic and quit going to church himself. We do believe in God but do not believe in any religions. Religions are usually the forefront of wars. At elementary school, we had to say the Pledge of Allegiance every day until I got to high school. I never saw the 10 commandment posted in our public schools anytime nor do I remember them being posted at Catechism either and I still live in crazy Louisiana. Back then the constitution of separation between church and state were honored. Jimmy Swaggart (the Louisiana Christian Nationalist) was preaching about another rival pastor named Reverend Gorman about how he saw prostitutes. Never the less, proceeding his preaching, Swaggart was caught red handed with a prostitute at a cheap hotel room. Do yall remember it? I do not regret my education of the bible because I think it did give me a foundation either to accept things or reject things from it. I own a .22 cal hunting rifle but no assault weapons.
