Nice review. I’ve got one of these myself and rate it highly for the reasons that you have mentioned. I was there for Ride London 2018 with the freak weather day that had me shivering in Summer as I hadn’t worn my Perfetto either. Keep up the good work.👍🏼

Yup really like certain (and several) Castelli pieces but splurge a bit won't you and throw a 2 way zip in there ... at that price point should be a no brainer. Helps with temperature regulation. Love my Velocio pieces for that feature.
Amazingly informative - thank you! 👍 I too, recently bought a medium of the ROS version - I'm 5' 8" (174cm) and 67kg, when I'm usually a small - after trying on, thought I may have to opt for a large! Shame high street retail and changing rooms are largely a thing of the past! Be interested to know if you tried large size also? Thanks again! 👊🚴♂️
Hi Graeme, thanks for the comment. I never tried the large. I am quite narrow across the shoulders/back, so the medium felt intuitively like it should fit. Though someone else commented on this video and said it was too loose!!
@@Sportivecyclist Thanks! Think my biggest concern was the slight tightness under the shoulder area (armpits) - but once you're in bike position, not really an issue. Likewise - think a large would have too much excess frabic across back and chest once in bike mode. Keep making great, useful videos! (Original comment edited after typos found!)
So I managed to try another one of these one recently & actually the large is good & can fit a baselayer underneath. The question now is Long sleeve Perfetto or short sleeve Gabba (& combine with arm warmers)?!
Thanks for the review of the Perfetto! I’m torn between the Medium and the Large. Would you feel comfortable sharing your chest size? I’m a scrawny 95cm and need some guidance. 178cm tall. Much appreciated. AG
WRONG! the sportful fiandre PRO has the perfetto beat in breathablity insulation and super light weight my friend! and its a second skin race cut fit bora hansgore team wears it..........just as waterproof and windproof as perfetto but lighter more breathable and more insulated for training in foul weather !! lets debate buddy 235 grams vs 305 grams for perfetto
Not sure we need to have a debate! Ours is a broad church. That said, when I worry about an additional 70 grams is the day I hit 5W/kg FTP (i.e. never)
@@Sportivecyclist i think that jakcet is not pro tight on you try the fiandre PRO you will be amazed on how comfortable and 2nd skin it is and very aero!
Disagree. It is my neck that is too small. The jersey is perfect. Similarly shoulders, forearms - these need to be bulked up. Only then will I truly be worthy of the Castelli.
@@Sportivecyclist lol. Great review. I can now get mines a two sizes bigger so I can layer up if I want. I don’t really care what anyone thinks when I’m out cycling. If they’re worried about how something fits someone else it just means they’re out of touch with reality.
These are only good for the slim bike rider's as i am 6"1 & weights 96kg tired their biggest size 3XL & couldn't even get my arms through the sleeves......!!!

Great review of a great product. I hope they are paying you. Workshop looks terrific by the way.
Thanks Stuart. I wish! No, unpaid. Guess that’s the best sort of marketing when you can get mugs like me to film 14 minute adverts...
Monty, I agree with everything you have said about this jersey.
Yes, I'm an admitted Castelli fanboy as well !

i got the winter version of it (there is a integrated fleece jacket inside) and it is absolutely great.

Perfetto ros 2 has a 2 way zip.

What do u think of the alpha ros 2? Did u get a size bigger than normal, i.e. L instead of M?
Like the look of this but I couldn't get even the large on!
That’s because you are too buff, pal.
@@Sportivecyclist Ha I wish!

Long sleeve I reckon. I’m not sure I’ve understood the point of the short sleeve. But then maybe if I were to ever try one I’d see the light.
I have the gabba . Best jersey I own. Not sure if it's worth upgrading to the perfetto .
Guess it depends how cold your fore arms get Neil

@@Sportivecyclist it’s a Jacket.
