Hopefully you’re not super heavy. That 322 has a few decent sized hills. I think you should be good on Ohio turnpike. I haven’t seen them pull trucks over up there that much. You have a safe trip out there brother 🙏🏼

Hey Bandit, here's what i woulda done with that broker. I woulda take that load at $2150.00 and 1 hour before the actual pick up time, i 'd call him back with a story like a broken engine on the reefer. I bet you he wouldn't sound that calm on that phone call that he did on yours and that's when you know you won the battle. The guy knew that rate was crazy and probably got a few calls with the same kind of dong you gave him.
I think he had a couple days to cover this load. That’s why he was posting it for such a cheap rate. But unfortunately, some poor sucker did take a little. Because I looked later in the day and the load was gone.. I am very tempted sometimes to book a load and just cancel it on them at the last minute. But that would not be good for me because they report me to Carrier 411 and that’s not good.

I’ve only been pulled over three times in Ohio since I’ve been driving. One was definitely my fault because I was speeding in constructions zone. The trooper was very friendly and he didn’t give me a ticket. Even though he could’ve given me many tickets that day.

They used to pull trucks in rest area all the time whenever I was gone this way, but for some reason now they are pulling them over on the side of the road, which is very dangerous. Missouri passed the law. They cannot pull you over to do inspection on the side of the interstate. They have to do it on the exit ramp or rest area.
My friend, I know a friend of mine who turns the west coast hauling cars, he gets about 6-7,000 dollars every time he goes out there and again when he comes back to the east coast. He runs car carriers for many years. He has a number of trucks running now, all new Pete's and i have known him when he had only one tow truck and a gas station.
I did align it, but it still swaying a lot. But I am closing in on the problem. I am on my way to St. Louis to pick up some more parts for it right now.

I run across 70 every day. DOT hangs out about Exit 132 WB and pulls trucks into the rest area.
