I believe a 129 F-16s have been pledged to Ukraine, and some Mirages as well. Not all of them airworthy though, a couple dozen are mostly for spare parts.

The ussr was far behind in consumer goods and enterteinment almost by 10 years to western markets and many were usually made out of necessity rather than naturaly. In the end the real issue was the stagnation in communist countries.
Of course the consumption of alcohol predates the ussr and goes as far as the russian empire, the main focus for it was to keep the general populous docile, the less critical thinkers there are the less likely they will see the holes in the system.

Mine fields etc. Frontal assaults to re-take are unlikely to succeed. I recommend we start playing 3D chess and start making the UkranianUkranimobile cavalry. Blackhawks not F16's.
