The tarot cards are there because of Deadlock (one of the weird Knights Martial mystical wizard robots - well, why not?) who ended up with the ABC Warriors, used them to foresee the future. So now you know!
Ah, thanks
ABC Warriors is the only 2000 AD comic I ever read. If I wasn't saturated in minis and games I'd definitely pick it up.
I know the feeling.
I'm only marginally familiar with them as I did have a couple Dredd comics as a kid; but this looks like a fun starter set. I may have to pick it up.
yeah, seems pretty good.
The game is based off the Volgan war.
You have the ABC warriors vs the Volgans. The fate system comes from one of the robots (Named Deadlock), who basically worships fate & chaos. It's basically how Warlord introduce their game mechanics/random events stuff, but it's very lore appropriate.
Thanks.
I'm a big 2000ad fan. Good to see Warlord actually marketing for a change.
They are often happy to send us review copies when we ask - but we often don't know what is coming out - so don't ask!
I wrote an article series for Beasts of War a few years ago about the upcoming Dredd game. Warlord didn't even reply to my request for input. Not a sausage. Seems like they got a new marketing person.
Vallejo Express paints are worth trying, they essentially do the same job as GW contrast paints but for nearly £2 a bottle less (same amount of paint in the bottles) and without the risk of spillage. They've also released a load of new colours, including some with painting military figures in mind, like one which is similar to German Field Grey
Definitely on my to-do list.
You're lucky. My Sgt. Hammerstein's legs were both snapped off at the torso and Volkhan's body was snapped off the base at the feet with the right foot being on a small sliver of the base and the left foot being on the rest of the base. Part of the problem is the ankles are too thin.
The models seem to be too fragile. I've read reports of models breaking while being painted! They definitely need to either rejigger the SiOres formula or go to SiOres soft as the SiOres hard looks like it breaks too easily. I have nothing against SiOres itself as I have models from other companies that use SiOres soft and haven't had these problems.
That being said I will continue to support this game.
The previous versions of siocast resin were a bit soft. maybe the new version is too brittle?
Might be, not handled it enough.
Excellent review on this guys
Thank you kindly!
ABC easy as one two three.
Kinda makes me want to sing.
