Why is this Canadian documentary released under so many different titles? I appreciate Canada’s noble efforts but the war was about British impressments of American sailors.

@Draymond1951-ve3oc : Impressment of American sailors was only one of the MAIN reasons The US declared war upon Britain; the other MAIN reason The US declared war upon Britain was the British blockade of The US's East Coast; Britain had blockaded all major U.S. ports. By 1814, the Royal Navy had extended its blockade northward, and was financially crippling New England's economy.

@@thegreypath1777this is the true reason. Britain could have impressed double the amount they had been and we wouldn’t have bothered to rock the boat. The blockade though - that was something that could cause noticeable and significant disruption to society, it couldn’t forever be brushed under the rug.
That was a mortal threat not only to the stability of the Union but also to the wallets of those who supplied its continued existence

I have a few Canadians that I talk to and get along with. Unfortunately there are one or two that just don't like Americans. Tough being an American sometimes.

I've played hockey with and against a few of them. Those games between American and Canadian teams always have a bit more of an edge to them in amateur leagues.
