Steps to fix your device.
1. Unscrew the back cover
2. Remove the back cover carefully
3. Disconnect the back cover
4. Unscrew the motherboard
5. Disconnect the ribbons from the main board
6. Remove the plastic housing with the battery
7. Put on the new screen
8. Put the unit back together

Nice video. Just a query: I got a samsung watch 4 classic and touch screen glass got broken. I am able to use it as the display unit is fine. But, it looks bad wearing it. The Samsung authorised service centre has quoted almost the same price for changing the full display unit at which I bought the watch, hence that makes no sense(better buy new again). One local repair shop is saying they will only change touch glass as the display looks fine at 1/4 th of the cost which samsung is asking. What do you think? Is it advisable to go for such a repair??
Definitely.
Especially if you wanna save the $$$.
If the repair shop isn't able to fix the problem then you should only owe them cost of the replacement part.
&If they make it worse.
I personally wouldn't pay anything.
(Maybe double check on their policy first)

Cut out the middle-man.
Buy replacement part &Do it yourself.
That's what I do.
Only an unadvisable strategy if Your unable to PATIENTLY &Accurately follow instructions.
Or if You Don't have the fine motor skills required (like have arthritis or chronic fat-fingers syndrome)

@@Joesge I'm really interested in that video, my watch's screen works fine, is just the glass what is broken and I'm looking to replace it. Samsung's repair cost is way too expensive, almost the same price as a new watch.
@@TigerBud They probably won't, because it's probably more or less impossible and they always say "not yet" or "will make a video soon" in replies from 10mo ago, so I have enough reason to believe that they just say this in order to keep people hooked to them, which's really just very scummy. Also I could not find any mention of a "glass only" replacement anywhere (iFixit also didn't mention it)

Where can I buy the Galaxy4 Classic 46mm screen so I can replace it myself. WOW spent 3 hours on the phone with Samsung the employees dont even know where to get it.

My wife and i got galaxy 4 watches 8 months ago I got the 44mm and she the 40mm. My wife's Samsung Galaxy 4 watch stopped working one day wouldn't charge or turn on not even lightning bolt. Tried all the troubleshooting holding power buttons etc.. then mine worked fine and put on the charger and next day nothing won't charge turn on and no lightning bolt. Very strange that both of ours did the same thing. We have tried different charging cables and boxes too still nothing. I brought it to a shop and they had it for a month then I called and they said (with uncertainty) it was the battery most likely but to know I need to pay 190.00 then they will see if that was the problem. Has anyone experienced this issue they worked fine one day then next day nothing. No water damage either. Thank you for the help
