      My apartment has the classic machines. Speed Queen Laundry knows better than to put the "perfect wash" on the market.

      @@One-Day-After-Another I don't really know. I like my new one, as it cleans well, but has lots of electronics on it. No timer. My 2013 has a timer and is really old school. My opinion.

    Even discounting the “hardly any clothes movement in agitation” comments, I can’t see any washer getting filthy, oily towels clean with no detergent.

    Doesn’t using soap make a difference? Just thinking that any machine you wash in without soap don’t clean the best…..

    I've used a TR7 before. At first I thought it was going to be terrible after watching some of your comparison videos of it between a SQ classic, but I was surprisingly impressed with the results of mine. I still don't think it cleans as well or better than a SQ classic but I honestly wouldn't mind owning one.

    Still not as good as the old school ones, I just bought a fully refurbished mid 90s Kenmore series 80 set and live it. The washer agitates like crazy and really turns the clothes over. Compared to my front loader I had the clothes come out clean

    My TR5003 does a great job. Runs much quieter than my old school Maytag it replaced. I think you will get the best results using the Auto-Fill feature as several folks already mentioned.

    I have the classic wash speed queen and i like it. Also have my 2013 speed queen which i had rebuilt. Love them and clothes get cleaned.

    Use the Autofill setting for the next loads, I think there is such thing as too much water in the TR but I am not impressed with the revision either.

    Whoo! I'd nearly forgotten about Pt 1. Well, it does something because its not nearly a dirty watered at round 1. Still, it's brutal to watch what appears to be nearly no turnover for a modestly long cycle.

      I truly believe university students who graduated worked for Speed Queen and came up with this. They don't care about how laundry is done as long as it goes in and then comes out. That's why there's no turnover.

    Why do they want to reinvent the wheel? Just go back to the old fashioned washing action from the 70s or 80s that took about 22-25 minutes to complete a full load and with less stress on the machine.

    I'm a little confused. I did not see any detergent added to either the first load nor the second. Did I blink and miss it? If no detergent was in the washer, how is the machine expected to perform optimally?

      It won’t and no machine will. Detergent needs to loosen the soil so that it can be extracted properly. The machine and the detergent work together. Plus it’s not being used in the autofill mode! If you wanna judge the machine fine, then use it properly!

    with the stains in those towels, I probably would use the maximum cycle around. The Oxi Clean White Revive is also a good idea.

      @ Crestwood Rocks: How about also adding chlorine bleach in addition to the Oxi Clean White Revive? On my white Sox I always add chlorine bleach in addition to the Oxi Clean about 5 minutes after the wash cycle has started. I use that bucket detergent from Sam's Club Wind Fresh I really like. I have a 2018 SPEED QUEEN TR5 SERIES WASHER.

      At the beginning of Pt 1, that was the filthiest laundry I’ve ever seen!! I can trap feral cats and scrub at my local shelter and not have laundry half that filthy!! Plus, did you notice the guy set it on “medium soil” to shorten the time when clearly it is heavy soil!!

    I would hate this machine. I would not trust my laundry to be clean. Would get better results hanging the clothes on the line, and spraying with a garden hose.

    I would say if you have the money to spare and the proper requirements, You want a real washer? Buy a Dexter T-450 Express. Otherwise buy the SQ Front load or the Maytag Commercial.

    In reality, the clothes spin very differently and very slowly throughout the cycle. The trick here is the force of the water to remove the dirt. The classic SQ's washing system is still better.

    these are horrible washers, they don't turn the garments over and maybe they are "reliable" but who wants a washer that soaks your clothes and calls it "washing". Amana by whirlpool sells a cheaper model which costs less than half of this and it turns clothes over greatly and is very reliable. that model is the amana ntw4600yq.

    Don't they put lint filters in washers these days? Like the old GE filter flo. Clean it easily after each load.

      Lint filters pretty much died out with the 1980's. GE Filter Flo's ran into the mid 90's and I think they were just about the only ones using a lint filter other than a couple of Maytags when their lint filters became optional rather than standard.

    Eugene I have been a tech for over 20 years and I honest to god have never seen a washing machine clean this poorly in my life. To be honest, I’m not even sure what the hell this thing does, there is no turnover at all. I have hand washed things in my bathtub more aggressively than this,are you sure you didn’t accidentally put it on the delicate cycle 😂? I really believe this could be speed queens undoing. Are they so defiant on this line of washer that they are too proud to discontinue it? It’s not like this thing is $600, this is a $1500 joke.

      Purchased a TR-7 a month ago. It’s terrible! It creates terrible wrinkles in the clothing that don’t come out. Speed Queen is refusing to take back their equipment.

      I noticed that also that they doubled down on these machines. It's a cheaper machine to build but yet they charge you much more for this thing.
      They offer a warm rinse on the top-of-the-line TR7 and water level controls on The TR models but only 1 TC5 that has been neutered because of government interference into the products we use. It's like they know what is good and they are basically forcing you to change.

    Whoever invented the TR series SQ washers must have been really looped out on LSD! WoW! What a HIDEOUS piece of JUNK! I wouldn't have one if it were given to me free of charge! We have the Speed Queen "CLASSIC" washer & it does a fantastic job washing very dirty laundry!

    The tester has it all wrong. He needs to wash each towel individually while pre-treating first and then make sure he uses a lot of bleach that should get them clean.

    That agitator doen't look very impressive. I had a Kenmore 90 series washer for many years and you could watch the clothes on top get pulled under and around and back up and agitated faster. I never should have gotten rid of that washer. Should have just gotten it fixed. But I didn't know what I had. Thought it was just an old washer I needed to replace.

    I would rather buy an IPSO soft mount commercial washer or the SQ FF7. My mother knows how to wash clothes better than this washer and she still has her washboard to this day. If I had this washer in my apartment I'd probably would use it for smaller loads.

    Now I have this washer for 14 months now, And I use the Tide power pods along with the Heavy duty cycle with warm water and medium soil and I have no problems with my clothes coming out clean!!! these are washing machines folks and not miracle workers!!! No washer is guaranteed to get heavy stained clothes clean the first time without having to pretreat or soak or even possibly wash them a second time...

      Pods are a scam thought up to get more money out of you for less washes. Buy Tide or Tide OXI powder, those are the best. Pods and this washer are trends. Trends that will eventually die.

      @@maryrobert80 who cares how long. I care about the results. I don't have to stand by and wait. It can wash 8 or 9kg of clothes in one load, that's more than enough. I can use the delay option if I want but I don't use it.

    Absolutely a piece of junk. My 2006 Whirlpool can run circles around this thing. Would be interesting to see if a Tide pod would help.

    The worst performing washer ever made by the worst company. Very poor stain removal, most likely to require repairs of any modern washer, and least efficient. Not to mention the company only seems to want to look for loopholes to efficiency laws to keep their underperforming machines in the same state instead of investing resources for improvements. I don't get why people are obsessed with this brand.
