If you open the rivers side door on your Chevy Impala, there will be a sticker on the door or the door jamb that states the recommended tire pressure by the manufacturer. This tire pressure will give you the smoothest ride according the the manufacturer. Hope this explanation helps you out.
i own a 2012 Impala LS. had her 2yrs this month bought it with 42k! now shes at 80k. dont take much to put miles on it. i was paying to do oil change but not anymore. i was burned by the exhuast pipe next to the filter the 1st time even with the car sitting for an hr to cool. gonna try it again. i dont like the filter where its at and the angle of it. my 84 monte carlo was the easiest to do oil change. i put oil in the filter and rubbed some oil on the filter for a better seal.

The correct weight oil should be stated on the oil cap or in the owners manual.
5w30. 4 qts for 06 3.5 and 3.9 engines. 6 qts for newer model 3.6 engines.
