    I'm so glad I found your channel. I think I found my bus. It's already started so I can move in and work on it. I plan to stay in Florida, or mostly. The idea in my head is to leave the windows but build folding awnings for shade and privacy and security when they're down. 6' of awning should help cool it when it's folded out. I subbed to your channel, looks like a lot of great info. Thanks.

      @@AdamandAtlas If I get the bus I'll get definitely make videos. Mine will be less finished and less fancy, especially in the beginning. But it might help people see that it's an affordable option for housing. Plus I'm a little eccentric so I love the idea.

    Beautiful!!! I'm curious if you considered wood and why you (if so) decided not to use wood :)

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  2 года назад

      I wouldn’t really recommend using wood as structure around things like windows because it’s much easier to rot. Steel is much stronger, especially when cutting out a channel that’s already on the bus to fit a window, that load needs to be diverted. Using steel is definitely the proper way to do it!

    Looks amazing great choice, planning on doing the same to our bus. My only question is why didn't you just cut from the inside ? Then you wouldn't have to transfer your measurements to the outside or worry about taping or scratching the bus ?

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  2 года назад +1

      You could cut from the inside. We just found it more visually intuitive for placement to position them from the outside.

    • @AdamandAtlas

      That’s a really great bus you got. We have a 07 international CE300 with a dt466e, 9 windows.
      We didn’t consider house windows, only because Adam and I don’t really like the juxtaposition of house items on a vehicle (windows, doors, etc) we want everything on our bus to be designed for vehicles! That’s just our preference though!

    Why would you put an exit window next to the front door? Goes in the back in case of a fire.

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  11 месяцев назад

      Theres an exit window in the front and the rear. The window in the front just happened to be an exit window. But it doesn’t hurt having an extra way out if the door is jammed or something.
