About 30 years ago I had my first physical. I asked if there were any indication of how I would go. He shrugged and said, "You'll probably die of a heart attack or cancer." I was shocked at his rather cavalier attitude toward my mortality. I now see that what that doctor lacked in bedside manner he made up for in accuracy.

I rather see the yearly numbers over time. That would give a better indication of what is rising and falling.

Cancer and heart disease are only rising as a relative proportion of deaths. Because people die of other things less often, but they still die of something, so the late in life diseases are more relatively.
Diet, pollution, stressful environments, pesticides, plastic pollution and many other things are part of it aging is also a part of the increase.
Since 2021, it's much scarier because of you-know-what...😢
Good video but the stats here are limited. We’d have to take other factors into consideration before making assumptions. Cancer and cardiovascular deaths could be rising because they’re becoming more common? Maybe people are living older now so they’re more likely to die from this than other things? Other things that used to be deadly are no longer as deadly because of medical advancements thus leaving things like cancer and heart disease to take over.
We also don’t have percentage of the entire global population to go on by. In 2000 70 million people could’ve died. In 2020 70 million people also could’ve died. The difference is that the global population changed.
Why include homicides but not wars? The video isn't bad but appears slightly incomplete.

covid 19 did come out in 2019 but there was no deaths until 2020
no it didnt. The first death was in early 2020 (maybe some unreported in China December 2019). it rapidly spread in February/March 2020.
