This is a really great unboxing video ! However, I think we should be more critical of its marketing strategy. In terms of the product itself, it features the latest Celeron processor, a 15.6-inch screen, coupled with 12GB of RAM, and the screen that can rotate as shown in the video. Considering its actual price (around $300), its cost-performance ratio has already surpassed many other branded laptops. I've searched for laptops with the same configuration, and they all require a higher price.
I should send some of these vids to my sister. Between this and the last vid you did about Amazon laptop scams, these would hae been some solid "buyer beware" material for her. She's not as tech savy as I am, and she jumps on bargains just because of the price tag. Meanwhile, I've bought refurbished ThinkPads off eBay that perform better than the hardware she buys, and I pay a FRACTION of what she pays! My Lenovo Z40-70 cost me $76 (all I had to was swap the HDD with an SSD I already owned), and my ThinkPad L440 only cost me $56 with Windows 11 installed! I wish that people like her took a few extra minutes to research what they're buying.
Some people just can't be bothered of spending hours to find laptop. So the see something that's considered a bargain, advertised w/half decent specs and jump the gun
Dude, people are throwing out the "Apple fanboy" line like sweets, it's like there's no agreed upon consensus regarding the definition. I myself own an Apple Watch, an iPhone, an iPad, the Apple Pencil, 2 Homepods, and some Airpods. I get labelled an Apple fanboy despite also owning a Bravia, A Lenovo Legion gaming laptop, a Playstation Vita, a PS5, a PS3, a Playstation VR2, a Google Nest Hub, Hue Lights, a bunch of smart plugs that don't work with Homekit, a Sony A105 Walkman (an Android powered Walkman no less) and a smart air purifier. Also, I would happily jump ships from my iOS products in a heartbeat but my issue is with Android but more so with how Google has been treating Android since about 2015. I'm being vague because I really can't be bothered to type out all of the issues I have. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Apple are the perfect saints in all of this, but I do feel their attitude is better than Google's.
I know what you mean. I only stick with Android for my tablets not because of the ecosystem or since I’ve used it for a decade, but because the s-pen is still better than the Apple Pencil. And their software isn’t quite much better for the premium, though I’ve never had issues with it. Though for what it’s worth? The Apple ecosystem is superior and much more stable than Google’s. Google have a long-standing problem where it’s OS is just awfully unstable, going by 14’s issues. Never thought I’d be glad to not get the update. And the fact that all programs are simply so intrinsically tied to the hip with Play Services and their tracking BS to the point I have to install adblockers and use ADB to remove all the bullshit they and the manufacturers place in there. Like using Netguard to block programs that don’t need an internet connection from having one. Like their keyboard. If I were to theoretically block Apple’s trackers, which can be done with Mybloxx, I can still use the third party programs I installed. I can even get rid of some of their programs and use my own. And while sideloading is less than ideal with the current situation until it’s opened up by the EU, Apple’s App Store is monumentally superior to Google’s store in terms of security and straightforwardness. And this is coming from someone who’s jailbroke every Apple device I’ve owned since high school, and rooted and installed custom ROMs on my Samsung tablets. Even customised a custom ROM with a better kernel and so on. My jailbroken devices tend to be vastly more useful. Ironically? Samsung and custom Android only have the distinct advantage of less tracking and bloat. It just got tiring how I have to customise Android to be remotely useful. Not to mention? All the few perks of having an Android device are being whittled away. Taking away expandable storage, headphone jacks, and some developers even having the arrogance of mandating what I do with my own property like with telling me to disable developer settings. So why would I choose an inferior copycat of iOS that only has sideloading as a perk, as if that won’t be rid of? If Apple improved the pen and had a better aspect ratio, then I’d be gone. As it is, I don’t feel like going for another tablet anyways since trying to use them as a laptop is an exercise in futility (I tried the Dexnor keyboard for the 7+ and it was just an overpriced rebranded Goojodoq keyboard with a cutout for the pen, inconsistent gestures and a lack of support period. Not even a website.) and the Magic Keyboard had frustrating gestures which didn’t match the desktop OS’s trackpad gestures. And pretending they do when they’re at best complementary, is a joke. I find it’s the hugest scam for manufacturers to argue otherwise, unless it’s the basest of functions like browsing or checking email. Minor things. And none of them would ever willingly or purposefully cannibalise their laptop or desktop sales to make their mobile devices even better.
Man you need a good pocket knife so you can stop using that giant kitchen sword to open boxes. I suggest a Spyderco Delica in K390 with a full serrated blade.
I think it's pronounced sign like a stop sign. Maybe I'm wrong lol. Man I knew you weren't an apple fanboy when I saw you with a Samsung S23. I was like yes, he a real one 💯.
I know I'm not the sharpest tool, but I was drunk and honestly thought about buying this because of the deal, but went digging to make sure that was a legit OG price, so thanks for saving me $300.
Thanks for the video. My experience with electronics from China is to not buy anything. I hope you returned the piece of junk and got your money back. I would like to see a comparison between the higer end Intel and AMD chips as well as the pros and cons of different memory types, hard drives, etc... Thanks again.
It says 802.11ac in the Network adapter description, but also it says Wifi 4!!! Many Chinese laptops have same internals and often same external design because many companies share same assembler. Because they share so much of the internals, they share same limitations and defects, like sound on only one speaker. the USA should put anti-dumping duties on these laptops and stop them from being imported.
I bought this laptop (Apolosign) about a month ago, and now the computer is not charging with the cord that came with it which just like the one you showed. Returning it is out of time now. So I am stuck with it. Any suggestions of another power cord to use? Thanks
Just a note: I have a laptop that it always defaults to wifi 2.4 and to change the setting was using device manager. So, it would default to wifi 5 and also check optional updates.
I am really wondering what computer you are working with. I have one of these Apolosign 15.6 computers and it acts nothing like what you are describing. Computer boots up in less than 15 seconds and loads outside apps within 2 seconds. It is true that when you unbox the computer it is only running on 2 of the 4 cores and is set for 4G. A couple of minor adjustments sets up all 4 cores and setting to 5G. I would put this computer up against any Lenovo in it's price range. Seems like the only scam here is your review.
Is a Lenovo 4gb ram really better then the apolosign? I need a cheap one under $400 to start a RUclips channel and edit videos until I can upgrade. I've been recording in 1080 on my hero 10 to start. What do u recommend? I'll only be using it for editing. I know I need something better but I don't have the $ rite now. I also have a external hard drive.
GATEWAY Ultra Slim Laptop with i5-1135G7 and 16GB RAM or HP Pavillion with Ryzen 5 5500U and 16GB RAM. First one under $400 while the second one is tad above $400, often in sale at $399. It might be WIFI5 of laptop not supported WPA3 you should enable WPA2 instead.. But ipad 2022 and my Poco F1 working just fine kala ko sira ung router ni Converge haha (1 of internet provider in php)
Other than the Memory speed, which is an honest mistake tbh, this was a good video! Always good to expose these scam laptops. The one good thing I'll say is that it had an easy access drive bay to change the m.2 storage, which a ton of laptops dont have. Doesnt save it from being a terrible deal, but cool to see.
I hate to rain on this product bashing party, but you realize that big brand name manufacturers are ALSO producing crappy computers! The hardware in the cheaper big brand laptops (and tablets & PCs) is terrible and you can barely run the darn thing. I know because I've returned several products over the years and eventually paid more for a better product. They shouldn't be allowed to sell computers below a certain performance standard - this includes the big brand names. In the end, you get what you pay for. Also, Lenovo is famous for jacking up the "regular" price and then putting everything on sale - in the end their sale price is similar to the regular price of other brands.
Im an elementary school art teacher and need a new laptop. My budget is between $200-$300 dollars, i cant buy any scam or refurbished or chrome. What do we recommend? I can't save up as exams are around the corner. Really need some help thanks...
