Wow!!! You are really learning so much and teaching me too!!! I never really payed much attention to this kind of stuff but you are right!! The colors you are choosing are spectacular on you!
Now I know why and hopefully it helps me avoid some bad decisions in the future - and save some money too!
Loving this thoughtful series Dayle and yes you do have COOL eyes! 😀 The stone trench suits you so much better. I avoided all of this when I got mine and just went for the black. Thank you for sharing this, it's so interesting! 🍏
Honestly - mind BLOWN! Now I need to find another trench over the next year to replace this one!
I’m so thrilled you covered this content, and I appreciate your honesty! I would love to see you cover key size as I have not seen an influencer do this yet. Key size refers to how close together your eye are or how far apart they are. The closer they are the smaller your key size, the farther apart the eyes the larger your key size. This helps us choose small or medium or large jewelry, large stripes or pin stripes, large foral patterns or small florals, large polka dots or pin prick polka dots, etc.! It also helps knowing to choose a smaller or larger bag. It is not decided by how tall or short we are, or how rotund or thin we my be.
Yes I’ve had a few comments of this nature, I’ll definitely look into it
Loved the all white look Dayle. It's my fav look for me too. That cashmere jumper looks divine. I have cashmere from Lilysilk and it really is beautiful. This course is really working for you xx
It’s so beautiful I was really impressed, I want to wear it everyday!
Love these videos. Definitely learning why I’m drawn to certain colours and styles.
So interesting!
you look amazing in these colors!! thank you for sharing your journey it’s really cool to see and very inspiring!
Thank you so much 🥰
I like your hair. Colour theory is an amazing thing, can be complex but I'm glad you've shared what you have learned and are loving it. Its been awhile since I've looked at colour theory in fashion and this is a great refresher for me on the principles of it. Thanks for sharing Xx.
I mean, I could totally deep dive, but I'm happy just applying the basics and keeping things nice and simple!
@@DaylesAddiction I think the way you went into it is perfect.
I’m so pleased you did this video. Since I saw your stone colour trench I’ve been searching and can only find the honey , navy and black . Like you I’m cool toned . Seems I’ll be buying black 😂
Dayle - you’re killin it!! I love how you’re applying + sharing what you’ve learnt. Greetings from chilly Melbourne😎❤️
Denise - it’s bloody chilly here too! Top of 12 today!
Thanks so much for your encouragement- I find it’s the best way to learn!
This video had so much useful information I had to watch it AGAIN! Thank you Dayle!!!
Aw Michelle, thanks for sharing that with me - I hope you're doing well lovely!
Love this Dayle. You look gorgeous in your outfits xx
Thanks Amy 💕
Thank you so much for sharing. When you held up the trenches to your face it all made sense to me. I had no clue and now it clicks as to why I don’t wear x clothing. I also need to do a declutter
Honestly, that's when it clicked for me too, I'm like - ding ding, I've got it!
Excellent video Dayle!!! Very informative. I just read one of the comments regarding selecting foundation shades and I have problems with that too! And I’ve always wanted to wear the natural makeup look( earth tones) I end up looking dead.🤣
Isn’t that so interesting when you finally figure out why things so and don’t work!
This video series has been really wonderful and inspiring! ❤️
Oh wow , thank you so much for saying that 🤗
I love these outfits on you - good choices! 💕
Thanks lovely 💃🏻
Just as you were saying it in the video, I was thinking how I'm loving these tonal looks. It looks so effortlessly chic ❤️
So easy but so tricky to find pieces in similar tones!
Hi Dayle!!! Thanks so much for sharing your learnings with us and love how you have been exploring the colours that really work for you 💚🤍 loved thid video and hope you find that Burberry Trench in thr stone! 😘 will keep an eye out for you! X
Thanks Sapna
Apparently the colour has been discontinued 🥹
Maybe I have to find a non-Burberry alternative…. 😱
@@DaylesAddiction I am sure you will find an alternative 🤗
I love how the colors you've shown do flatter you. That's a neat trick folding your turtleneck color backwards too. It looks so nice! I'm going to try that. BTW, I tried to find the sweater you're wearing, but had no luck finding it on the websites.
Hi Lovely - the green sweater is old news now lovely, hopefully you can find something similar 😊
Dale!!! Great video!!!! I can relate with finding the right shade of beige…the honey colour trench also doesn’t suit me and I look like a potato unless I wear a burgundy turtleneck or something underneath or bright scarf! Because I have brown eyes I find I look better in the khaki or green trench coats or chocolate brown! I need to do more of an overview of my wardrobe too! Feeling inspired!
A potato 😂😂😂
I get it, I told my facial it’s that the other day 😂😂😂
You`re so pretty!! Really good choices!
Aww thank you!!
I find this very interesting. It certainly explains how colour choices can make such a difference to how you feel in an outfit. There are always some colours you just feel wonderful wearing 😃💕😘
It's super interesting - and confusing as hell too ha ha!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I know I definitely get compliments when wearing certain colors. I really must delve into color theory. Cool stuff!
Honestly it will save you a fortune in the longer term!
❤️❤️
So interesting to see the difference between the stone and beige trench. These videos are inspiring. Cashmere sweaters are the way to go.
It was a real aha moment for me!
Love the cream/stone colours on you. Also the bright green! Gorgeous! Amazing how colours look so different on various skin tones. Find it so interesting. I have very pale slightly pinky undertone and pale colours really wash me out - I def can’t wear pale pink or peach. I suit earthy tones such as mushroom colours and forest greens and Khaki. I also seem to suit baby blue - the only pale colour I can wear. Loving the insight!
Maybe because blue and brown are opposites so they complement each other!
Dayle, this was so interesting and helpful! I’ll think twice next time I’m drawn to a color shown on a model who’s coloring is nothing like mine lol. And I see you did get the Fendi mini baguette in zucca - happy it works for you! 👏😁
Hey Grace!
Yes I thought I’d do a sneaky reveal and see if anyone noticed… I do have an unboxing and story time to come 🤗
All outfits look perfect on you. The total white is so chic! The mini Baguette 👀
Felt very sophistimicated 😜
I think you've opened Pandoras box in regards to colours and what suits etc. (But in a really good way). Your channel is so knowledgeable I'm learning a lot from watching you already!
I’m glad it’s thought provoking - that me for your lovely feedback! Makes me smile 😀
Excellent content Dayle! Love it! 😀
Thanks so much Deborah 🥰
Such a fun video with a lot of amazing looks! It's such an interesting topic. I'm actually a warm tone, my eyes are brown, my skin is fair and my hair is golden blonde.
When I get my hair coloured I always ask for warm tone highlights as ash does not work for me. I love my caramel browns, reds, pinks, golds, yellows. 🧡💛❤️🤎
Blue and purples wash me out but I love those colours on you. 💙💜
It’s so great when you know your own palette, the frustration I had for so many years with hairdressers making me black or copper…. Just do a cool chocolate brown please
love the pink and purple dress🌈🤗🎀💜🎀
Thank you!!
Your eyes are so pretty. With the green jumper, it looks amazing.
Thank you! I have never ever worn green until recently!
I have been struggling with foundation lately and am trying to find a new one. I worked out that it was my colour tone that was the problem with the ones that I picked. A hard and expensive lesson to learn unfortunately. I have had so much trouble because some colours work from both cool and warm and others that should have don’t, so I’d been extremely confused what I thought I knew was wrong all this time 😂 and I think what you said about the hair/eye tones etc had contributed to my struggle because I didn’t realise those things 😩
Oh Jacqueline I totally get you. I now only buy foundation after I’ve done a makeup lesson in store and I know how it looks and feels on me.
Colour theory is so interesting, I pulled my little colour swatch to compare while watching this video. I don’t go shopping without it.
Yes! I was busy making one today once I got my seasons! 😂
Dear Dayle you are very right about colors ,I have made the same mistake with a Burberry coat in the past …
Oh it’s devastating isn’t it!
I love your gorgeous eye colour and like most of the outfits but that burgundy agai st your piercing eyes and straight crop hair is just jaw dropping!
Oh thank you so much lovely!
I did a similar course many years ago and was told I was very warm, so I've tended to stick to that idea for years, but I sometimes wonder if I've changed over time. 🤔
Great video xx
Yeah I’d say changing your hair colour would impact on your warmth quite a bit if you have cooler skin with warm eyes and hair generally. But if you have skin that tans easily and warm eyes and warm hair… it totally changes things when you change your hair colour.
I’m learning I straddle two seasons due to my real golden summer skin and more olive green winter complexion
hey x some great advice and tips on colour palettes 🎨 thanks xxx
Pleasure 😊🤗
Good points that I never really thought about actually. The two colours next to yr face were soooo different. I might try that more when I’m choosing clothes. I made a big mistake with my trench purchase too. I should have gone the size up so I could comfortably wear knits underneath but I can only wear with with shirts so I don’t really use it much. Definitely would like to buy another at the right size this time🙄
Im glad I’m not alone but I’m also sorry you had the same difficulties
The burgundy outfit was so flattering. Loved it!
It’s so chic and icy cool!
Gorgeous Dayle 🤍🌟
Thank you lovely ☺️
That dress looks bomb on you!❤
Thank you 😊
This is so interesting!
I’m still learning but it’s really interesting for sure
In 2019 I had my colours professionally done and was told I am a cool summer to cool winter and suited muted colours the best. I was given a book with swatches in it. During the last 3 years I have totally changed my wardrobe, it is much easier to mix and match. It also makes it much easier to shop and save money. Some interesting things I learned were I still can’t always wear a colour even if it is cool for example pale blue doesn’t look that good next to my face but I can wear it in shoes or handbags. I also now only wear white gold or silver as that best compliments my skin tone.
I was also told that only true winters can wear black so I wear charcoal of navy instead of black now.
I have really enjoyed the process and it’s sounds like you have to, I can’t wait to see how your wardrobe evolves in the future.
I love watching your videos xx
That’s so interesting! We are doing our seasons next week so I can’t wait to learn more. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge too, so much to learn and so much is about training our eye to identify the colours.
I love that Likysilk jumper, adding that for winter.
It's gorgeous, soooo snuggly!
Dayle, I made exactly the same mistake 😂 Got a Burberry Chelsea Trench in the colour “honey” once and barely wore it, because I felt washed out. Then I did a colour analysis and the stylist told me that I’m a cool summer type and this trench is actually not my colour but I should wear it with one of the blue or cool pink Burberry scarfs together, that would mainly be a cool colour, so, same technique, wearing the flattering colour near the face 😅 Hugs to you 🤗
Yes!! I did this just yesterday after a subscriber suggested it…. We live and learn!!
Olive skin is often cool toned so you may be cool skin toned as well or even neutral to cool skin toned. I find the best way to to tell is to see whether sliver or goold jewellery looks better on your skin, sliver meaning you are cool toned , gold meaning warm toned, and both meaning neutral oned. I totally get what you mean by beige not working on you, I have struggled with finding a beige trench that works on me too. I finally picked up a second hand Burberry trench in a light olive green-beige while in a market in Japan. I was delighted by the fact that this colour worked so well on me.
Yes I think I lean neutral despite loving white gold on me I can wear yellow but not rose!
I would love someone to do my colours! I don’t have time for a whole course, but just someone to tell me what I am (cool/warm) and what colours to wear. Maybe then I would move away from so much black. Looks like you’re learning so much!
I think each of the elements build on each other - one without the other really impacts the value you get from it…. In my humble opinion
This was so interesting. I could actually see the difference when you held up both of your coats under your face!!
Yes it’s when you see the impact rather than explain it that it all makes sense. Doing the videos is actually helping me too!
Love your video and this content 🤗 you look so beautiful 🤩 best regards from Iceland 🇮🇸
Thank you so much lovely!!
Very interesting. It makes a lot of sense. I now know why I look best in pastels because I am so pale.
It’s what we all need to make sure we buy the best things for our complexion
You look amazing in the green jumper!!! Matches your eyes. Just beautiful.
They look pretty scary I think Amy!
@@DaylesAddiction like Mediterranean waters ;)
Love love you in all especially the white
The white/ivory was a fave for me too!
Thank you for talking us through all those examples 🧥 🤯. A luxury trench has been on my wish list for awhile and now I know why I am drawn to the French navy or black ones, beiges are hard to get right! I have a great stone beige one from Zara and whenever I think I’m going to upgrade to Burberry it just doesn’t feel right and I don’t buy it.
Eileen it’s better to know this now than do what I did and make an expensive mistake! Good for you 🤗
@@DaylesAddiction don’t worry I have made many expensive mistakes 🙈 mainly clothing and shoes 🙄
and I have just bought the Burberry trench and I ADORE wearing it !
You have?! Congratulations, I know you had been thinking about it for a long while - they are so special!
@@DaylesAddiction yes last may in Barcelona it's the west minister style in long
COOL WINTER HERE! I completely get it! The honey washes me out. And Burberry still have no stone colours 😢 Burberry need a cool beige and warm beige as constant colours in my opinion. 😊
Omg I would think this just makes good business sense!
@@DaylesAddiction would you buy the Honey trench again or would you go for the black or midnight? I’m curious because I’m going to buy my first.

Wow that burgundy look is sensational 😍
Thanks lovely, I’m wearing the pants today! Too cold for the top though!
Dayle these videos are just wonderful so thank you. I think you look stunning in everything you wear but it did show me the difference especially when you held up the 2 trench coats. Wow it was amazing. Boy I wish I had your gorgeous naturally tanned skin. I am very fair with blonde hair inherited from my beautiful mum who was English. My eyes actually look very similar to your colour. I think I have a mixture of mum and dad in my eyes. I have always felt washed out with them and my fair complexion but with you they stunning. Always sparkling. Though I must admit when I look in the mirror all the sparkle has gone from eyes since mum passed and all I see is sadness. Sorry to bring this chat down. Not having a good day but I will say watching your video has brought a smile to my face as you always do. So thank you lovely Dayle for always bringing light into my life. Much love. Jenni from Adelaide. XX
Oh Jenni, thanks for your lovely feedback. It's natural to have down days lovely, your Mother sounds like such a beautiful lady, and you definitely got some of your beauty from her! Think about what colours made her glow and try them. You sound like you're a cool tone so you'd look fabulous in blues and pinks, creams and true red. Sending love and smiles for tomorrow x
I always wear scarves with my trenchcoats - I know in your climate you probably don’t wear woolly scarves but could you try a long lightweight scarf with the Burberry trench - something in your colours that would be between your face and the coat? x
Yes the scarf works when it’s cold but I see my trench as a more chic cardigan and I like to wear it that way- carefree
Curved features Omg your hardly a cherub . Looking stunning in white , loved the blue and burgundy shades. Those dresses are so cute on you as you have fab legs . Have you tried your stone trench with some Lux thermal tops to keep you cosy if it doesn’t close xx. Thanks for sharing Dayle. Take care x
That’s a great idea lovely - the more fitted the top the more of the bakery is on display!
@@DaylesAddiction Yip and Mr. Addiction sure likes his sweet treats ❤️. I wrote that in a southern American drawl ffs it’s this Covid , it’s knocked me barking mad xx

Hello, thank you for this fantastic video ! You looked wonderfull in the Zimmerman dress. May I ask what size you wear in this brand please ? Thanks!!
Thanks so much Sofie - I go between a 3 & a 4 in this style of dress, it depends if they come with a slip or not as the slips are rather small on the bust. If the dress is a more fitted style (with a zipper) definitely a 4.
@@DaylesAddiction thank you for your reply! Kind regards
I think your highlights and your skin tone are very warm. The only cool toned thing I see on you are your eyes. After watching the video further and you put both coats up to your face you actually look really good with both of them but if anything I prefer the honey and I don’t know if it’s because I think it looks slightly better on you or if it’s just because I’m so used to seeing those trenchcoats in that honey color. But honestly that you look great with both.
You’re right my skin is very warm but the hair is normally cooler (change of hairdresser). Wearing the trench over cool colours works but it’s challenging without that contrast.
Hi Dayle can you share some more information about the course !!
It’s linked in the description box lovely and takes you through the content 🤗
Thanks for sharing your new found knowledge! I had a couple of ah-ha moments! 👠👜🌺💄
Im so happy people are finding it helpful!
My friend and I were talking about this a couple months ago and I was like ‘what colour am I?’ ‘What colours suit me?!’ !!! What’s a cool colour, what’s a warm colour?! How do you tell!!!!!!!! 😂🤣 This is such an interesting topic and there’s so much too learn!! Like how are you looking at the burgundy and telling me it’s a blue base?!!! 💀 I love the all white outfit with the trench and that green jumper is gorge!!! 💗
My friend it’s like a rabbit hole - so much to learn! Highly recommend a course or stylist than trying to work it out yourself!
I know im a bright Winter but I love a black outfit under a beige trench but I have 4 beige trench coats and never wear them. A black trench coat looks so serious and funeral to me. I wish Burberry had more colors like before. Like taupe or icy grey trench that would she nice
Yes exactly... they need to create colour ways that suit the rainbow of skin colours out there!
One of the things I've noticed is that so many examples in ads are for very light, pink based people who look best in warm. I'm a cool olive and greens are my enemy as well as warm tones. Folks keep trying to put me in yellow and green then wonder why i look like the dead. lol. Cool tones all the way!
Omg yes! I’m a really green undertone and for sure, you just can’t wear everything but when you hit your colour match everything pops!
I have no idea what color type I am and what would suit me best 😅
It’s a wide world of discovery!
Wear your new trench with scarves in your perfect colour/s? Or only wear your old trench with fine gauge knits which fit underneath easily?
Both great suggestions! but I want my $4k trench to do it all my friend, I think that's fair! I'm on the hunt, but I'll keep this one until I find the perfect one :)
@@DaylesAddiction I used to wear a stone coloured trench from David Lawrence…such a versatile colour! I actually still own it but it’s shape has gone a bit out of style so I’ll give it away or donate it.
@@hw7029 it’s a winner Colour! I’m online looking right now!
Well these colors are definitely working on you Dayle! I have run into this with makeup sales people at the makeup counters. Because I have brown hair and eyes and light to med skin with warm appearing undertones they always assume I’m warm. Warm foundations look really yellow, warm browns, rust, yellow beiges (I’m looking at you Chanel warm yellow beige Claire) all make me look sick. That’s because I’m not warm, I’m olive. More neutral cool than warm. My hair and eyes are a cool brown, and I tan easily. My trench is stone, not beige. Big difference. I’m a true winter with my best colors being jewel tones, black, navy, But I can wear some pastels as I have light skin in winter. Undertones and olive skin are so interesting.
Oh you hit the nail in the head with the olive and green undertones Pap….. it’s so hard to get it right - that’s why I love my hourglass skin tint - it’s perfect!
@@DaylesAddiction oh that such a pretty foundation! Unfortunately it is still a bit too neutral for me. the line I love is the Dior forever line. 2 warm olive is the perfect color in the concealer and I am a spot concealer person more than foundation all over. 3 warm olive in the summer. Fenty also has beautiful olive colors for anyone reading this. Love the stone colors instead of warm beige. My Burberry trench is a cool beige also and I don’t look dead when I’m wearing it. For bags I choose taupe over beige usually (except I couldn’t resist the dark beige baguette).it’s such a great bag! Baguette lovers unite!
@@pappyone6062 thanks so much for sharing, I’m going to check these out too!!
@@DaylesAddiction let me know what you think of them.
@@pappyone6062 absolutely!
Hi what size did y buy in the jumper
I got the large but I could have sized down.
@@DaylesAddiction can I ask what size au you are just to compare to me ?
@@Chloe-nq1hg I used the sizing chart lovely, I’m normally an AU 14
How uncanny! I’ve been on the lookout for a white trench coat for the longest time because the Burberry “honey” hue doesn’t suit my very pale, cool toned skin. I was just deliberating whether or not to go into Burberry to try on their classic Kensington in honey yet again and I think you’ve just saved me $4K, Dayle! Such a wonderful video. I have similar apprehensions about the Chanel beige. I LOVE the look of the classic beige classic flaps but they never look so good against my alabaster skin tone. How is your WOC going for you? Do you feel as though it’s a versatile colour for your wardrobe? This is such an interesting video and I’d love to see you do more videos on colour wheel dressing for different skin tones/facial features. Greens and purples really do pop on you! Xxxx
Yay!! I’m so glad you didn’t buy it, honestly I deliberated so long and then just succumbed and I’m so mad at myself.
If you find one definitely let me know, you know I’ll share!
The beige WoC works as it’s a really cool beige and that’s why I snapped it up… it was the first beige I’d seen that didn’t repulsive. I don’t choose it as much as I could but I’m happy I have the option 😊
Hi Dayle!! Have you seen the latest Fendi lilac sequin baguette? It screams “Dayle” 😁 x
Ha ha I have I have it pains me!!

Life changing!!
Yes honey is not good. Stone is so much better it makes your eyes pop
Thank you!
I was told by a Burberry SA that the older/classic trenches that came in the colour Stone were discontinued when Riccardo Tisci took over. I was disappointed because the new models felt so thin and flimsy 🤷♀️
That’s so sad…. Don’t dream it’s over…. Until you get confirmation 🥹😱
Maybe I need to look elsewhere
@@DaylesAddiction it’s okay- it was on my wishlist as THE trench, but Burberry’s cut doesn’t suit me. The back and shoulder width are too narrow so whilst it looks fine if I stand straight, I literally couldn’t move my arms up or in front of me 😅. So if you do find an alternative in a colour like Stone with that nice gabardine material, please share 😉.
Girl, I’ll tell you when you look like crap. The only problem is is you got a good style. That’s why you don’t get bad feedback. If you look good you look good! Bravo, that’s why we watch your videos.
Thanks Kyra - it's good to know I have you in my corner to give me some feedback when I need it. I always enjoy putting looks together, but the colour theory really helped me to understand why I feel great and am attracted to certain palettes.
