@@MLProductions.1 talk about a part breaking in a mercedes with the abc break system and pneumatik/hydraulic suspension. 1-2k for the breakpump and 1,5k euros for one fkin shock + you need a computer with the mercedes obd to tell the system you changed or repaired something. Really old cars with lots of mechanical stuff are kinda fun to repair. Everything beyond that is pure annoying and that comes from a car/truck/ tank and weapon mechanic.

Long-story-short, he was laid-off along with 30% of our company and medical bills piled up to the point where they could no longer make the rent for their home. The landlord, unwisely, decided to attempt to inspect the house interior prior to eviction, got in a fight with the tenant and had him arrested for assault! Life can fuck you up sometimes but you shouldn’t have to get shot every time you lose your cool!

It really doesn't matter what your car is worth. Its your car and if you are keeping it for any length of time its a great way to protect the paint and keep it looking good. If you take care of your car it will take care of you.

That is the highest class window tinting shop I've ever seen. Using a computer controlled die cutting system is amazing. Also not cutting into the outside of the windshield is the right way... Nice pro-tip use a button! And quite honestly, your car looks fantastic! I did a 6 weekend sixteen step paint correction on my 2009 BMW 335i sedan. It's black so every little irregularity shows in LED lighting. And the results? Wow! Not too far off from yours. And mine didn't cost $3K... More like $500 (for the new DA buffer and all the product I used).
Absolutely worth it, it's a beautiful car that means something to you. Heck, I paid nearly $400 to have just the rear windows done on the family hauler and they did a good job, but not nearly this in depth. Good work costs money, I'd say you got your thousand bucks worth.

It's an e55. It's always priceless. I put 50% suntek blue (same looking) tint on my mirrors once to make my car look cooler lol. My favorite is the S class purple hue they use between their windows (two layers of windows) it makes the car look stock purple meanwhile you can have 5% all around, less police bothering you for the tint. Anyways great car!
I did something similar. I got 3m crystalline line for our forester. Best thing we got so far. It was 104 last week and I had parked the car out with no shades and the inside was bearable. I also have leather seats which didn't burn my ass lol.
Absolutely I would. Those cars are fun to drive. You have a bit more horse power than I have. I have a 2005 CLK500 cabriolet with just 302 hp. But I really enjoy my car. I just went out and purchased last Saturday a BMW X5 xdrive 50i v8 motor. They guy at the dealership really wanted my car for a trade in. I kept it just to have it around.
I am sure this excellent business knows what is legal and what is not. They would not be in business very long if they installed illegal tinting. And Alex is not stupid. He, too, knows his stuff.

Like anything else, you have grades and better quality materials that can be used. $1000 for tint and your car being ceramic coated is actually a really good price. I think most certified installers for ceramic coating charge a base price of 8-1000 for a 3 year. Which I’m pretty sure would include them washing the car, decontaminating it, paint correcting it, & then coating it. Whatever package he got(3 or 5 years) is how long he’ll just have to pressure wash or wash with a hose to keep his car clean. Animal poop, rain, dust, dirt, will come right off. If he doesn’t have to wash it with soap or reapply wax or a sealant it lessens the chance of his paint being scratched and also the coating protects his paint a lot longer and effectively than rainx lol.
Not sure if you mentioned it or not but what about the new electronic tint? Pros/cons?? In New York you will get pulled over daily for anything more than Factory tint.. 2011 E550

I've got an E63 that I don't have a payment on. The W211 AMG cars have some serious bang for your buck. 99% of the people commenting on this video don't have and never will own an AMG. I'm on my second and love these cars. The first was a W210 E55 which is an amazing car in it's own right.
Looks amazing! What percent tint did you go with? I think 35 percent is the legal limit here in Connecticut. Might be a good option for my 335i to protect the interior since I don't have a second garage space to store it in
Sorta wondered the same thing. All those hands on deck, yet the work still took as long as it did--maybe the ceramic coating process added to the in-shop time and cost. I'm keeping in mind the precision/detail of this installation, and factoring in overall cost of the tint. Sorry, but it just won't compute with me. I'm sure we all (as consumers) understand the definition of, "Point of Diminishing Return". Looks good though--would've preferred 20% 😁
These dudes might just be getting paid 20/hr. 2 guys for 6 hours per car. You're looking at 240 dollars for the labor. How would you think they can't make money on this?

Besides that, you have the cost of the product (tint/coating), materials (polish, pads, etc), tools, rent, insurance, utilities. If you bottom-lined this service, I'll bet the owner cleared about $20.
@@urgetodrive the title said it's six hours. Just because you're seeing a lot of guys it doesn't mean the man hours aren't 12. Tint isn't that expensive, it's the labor that really costs. It's warehouse space, which probably isn't visible from a main road so it's relatively cheap. I just paid for liability insurance for my customer facing business, which had coverage for my workers injuries as well, it was 1500 dollars for a year. I feel you're making way more out of this than it is. If his highest end, I. e. largest margin job, only netted him 20 bucks that shop wouldn't be in business or look that nice.

For a car that "isn't worth much", I'd be happy to own it. If it didn't have tint, it'd get tint right away. All of mine for the last 10+ years have been tinted. It looks really nice. A shiny paint job makes any car look so much better. Add the ceramic protection and it's just that much better.

Under 35% is allowed if the front driver and passenger side arent tinted at all. If doing ALL windows, they have to be 35% or above.

I've never paid more than 100 for tints and I've had them done on over 10 cars with no bubbles

Like anything else, you have grades and better quality materials that can be used. $1000 for tint and your car being ceramic coated is actually a really good price. I think most certified installers for ceramic coating charge a base price of 8-1000 for a 3 year. Which I’m pretty sure would include them washing the car, decontaminating it, paint correcting it, & then coating it. Whatever package he got(3 or 5 years) is how long he’ll just have to pressure wash or wash with a hose to keep his car clean. Animal poop, rain, dust, dirt, will come right off. If he doesn’t have to wash it with soap or reapply wax or a sealant it lessens the chance of his paint being scratched and also the coating protects his paint a lot longer and effectively than rainx lol.
It actually protects the interior from uv, not just for "looks".
I really appreciate the attention to detail on the work they did.

Not sure if you mentioned it or not but what about the new electronic tint? Pros/cons?? In New York you will get pulled over daily for anything more than Factory tint.. 2011 E550

I've got an E63 that I don't have a payment on. The W211 AMG cars have some serious bang for your buck. 99% of the people commenting on this video don't have and never will own an AMG. I'm on my second and love these cars. The first was a W210 E55 which is an amazing car in it's own right.
Looks amazing! What percent tint did you go with? I think 35 percent is the legal limit here in Connecticut. Might be a good option for my 335i to protect the interior since I don't have a second garage space to store it in

Sorta wondered the same thing. All those hands on deck, yet the work still took as long as it did--maybe the ceramic coating process added to the in-shop time and cost. I'm keeping in mind the precision/detail of this installation, and factoring in overall cost of the tint. Sorry, but it just won't compute with me. I'm sure we all (as consumers) understand the definition of, "Point of Diminishing Return". Looks good though--would've preferred 20% 😁
These dudes might just be getting paid 20/hr. 2 guys for 6 hours per car. You're looking at 240 dollars for the labor. How would you think they can't make money on this?
@@hamsterbrigade There were more than 2 guys - counting the paint correction dudes - and it was worked on for more than 6 hours, I promise. Besides that, you have the cost of the product (tint/coating), materials (polish, pads, etc), tools, rent, insurance, utilities. If you bottom-lined this service, I'll bet the owner cleared about $20.
@@urgetodrive the title said it's six hours. Just because you're seeing a lot of guys it doesn't mean the man hours aren't 12. Tint isn't that expensive, it's the labor that really costs. It's warehouse space, which probably isn't visible from a main road so it's relatively cheap. I just paid for liability insurance for my customer facing business, which had coverage for my workers injuries as well, it was 1500 dollars for a year. I feel you're making way more out of this than it is. If his highest end, I. e. largest margin job, only netted him 20 bucks that shop wouldn't be in business or look that nice.

For a car that "isn't worth much", I'd be happy to own it. If it didn't have tint, it'd get tint right away. All of mine for the last 10+ years have been tinted.
It looks really nice. A shiny paint job makes any car look so much better. Add the ceramic protection and it's just that much better.
