As someone who grew up in a 1870’s home in America, when he said he know why these broken bit are important and they are important really touched my heart. I have grown up with antiques my whole life and feel very attached to many of them. They hold my family history in America. Too many people now days don’t even think about where they came from. It is so sad
hmm I always wondered if Americans can relate to these sort of shows as this stuff is very common here in Europe, I mean 1870s is pretty late compared to 1500-1700 but still a great period
@@K78644 it is. I can not imagine having a home that is 4 or even 5 hundred years old. America is a young country. The age of mine Is one of the oldest in the area I live. I know in its day it was a grand home for small town Midwest.
How much I love watching these episodes of salvage hunters. Mr. Drew really knows his trade!his knowlege is great 👍 and Mr. Tee is a very good companion.Really is great pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Honestly what a mean thing to say. If you read in-between the lines, you would be able to tell that they're obviously not making enough money to make a go of it any longer (comments about location). Sadly, these shops are no longer fashionable and are being replaced by mass outlets. I doubt he's closing down because he thinks it will be fun...
Love that pup! Even though he doesn't show it I think the ole boy closing shop is sentimental about his shtuff! He has a very over inflated sense of value, I'm sure Drew got good deals at the auction. That twig table is killer!
Merci !
I think the store manager took one look at Drew & "T" & judged them as riff -raff. He probably would have responded to them better had they worn suits & ties like him. He said as an aside, "I'm not used to bargaining with customers" or something to that effect, as though it was common & beneath him. But they weren't "customers" at all ! They were Tradesmen that he may have seen as beneath him. He gave Drew hell & will pay when his items go on auction for a pittance. Pity Drew couldn't make the huge haul he had hoped for !
The store manager isn't stupid. He knows Drew makes a living out of selling stuff for 2 to 3 times the price he buy' them for. All it would have taken was for Drew to stop being so miserly because those shop desks etc will fly out the auction house. I really think the old man invited Drew down to give him a chance but realised that he was being ripped off. You don't run a family business for 140 years by selling to Drew ...
Loved this episode, Neville is a character, really enjoyed the banter, made me laugh. These vids provide me with much diversion during the pendemic. Thanks so much for the upload.
Yeah he leaves a lot of good stuff and money behind . And then says he needs to buy as much as he can . But walks past sooo much good stuff I don’t get it
Drew is interested in things that I consider barely Antique. Really old things even in good condition he passes by. Also, in doing up many pieces they become things he wouldn’t touch. He grooves on furniture that he is happy is all original then he takes the originality out of the . I’m thinking of a cabinet with drawers that also had doors covering the inside. He had the doors taken off and covered the area with modern molding and repainted it all.
Really like this show, Drew is likable along with his staff my favorite being Enzo. i don't see how he makes a profit on alot of the items when you consider the overhead. I guess the show makes it work. Anyway, it's entertaining.
If you took a good look at that carriage you can see how wonderful it must have been to be that rich when the rest of the world was walking or riding a horse. That was just a small two person carriage so it would have been a super luxury item like a hypercar is today. It would have been some young royal persons sports car, unreal.
Drew seems to miss out on a large number of items simply because he'a fixated on always getting an immediate turnover. His ROI would actually be greater if he'd occasionally modify his approach. Refusing to purchase desirable items only because they might be in his inventory for more than a day is very shortsighted. He must be working with a very limited "war chest".
That Geezer is whacked............ sell all those shop counters get em gone for a guaranteed price, one less thing to worry about. "I been doing this a long time and I'm right."
Very entertaining i have to admit ..i am myself are in this business for over 20 years , therefor i have to add not very effective if you drive around the country with a lory nearly empty. ... also Drews statement" at a place like this you try to buy as much as you can" ...and then he walks out with 3 pieces sorry but bad storyboard
Let me get this straight ' DREW ' ur saying I should b careful because of my advanced age and deafness ..the cut throat world of antiques sum other show on TV might send a homeless alcoholic/drug smelly person sneak up behind me bash my brains in steal my money ,credit cards possible killing me..wow what's taking so long..all for that empty chair on eBay...we kill our competition MR.HARVEY AN EMPTY CHAIR...
I like Tea, but he sure complains a lot and makes snide remarks even to Drew's face. Drew takes it like a champ though. He wouldn't last with me there'd be off camera yelling about attitude from me.
The country house gentleman was very likable!
The change coming back in the pneumatic system was a throwback!

I just love this show so much
What a fool in the closing down shop. I hope Drew goes to the auctions and gets them cheaper.
Exactly what I thought.
Honestly what a mean thing to say.

The fellow who sold Drew the hat belonged on Are You Being Served?

Wish they had the auction in a episode would love to see it lol
Beautiful and very beautiful show. I wish you health, peace, success and progress in your wonderful work. Greetings to all .
I like the good sense of humor that you guys have.

Dear Rebecca !! A gazebo.lol !! The brain of Wales !! Bless her !!

Agree with this assessment - the tendency of this store manager to absolutely dig his heels in may have contributed to his store's demise...
Loved this episode, Neville is a character, really enjoyed the banter, made me laugh. These vids provide me with much diversion during the pendemic.

Simply my favorite show on RUclips; enjoy the banter and all the guy's.
I want to know if Drew ever went to the auction and bought the shop tables?????
...yes, he did, and then had lunch.
Jane, I worked for Green Peace for 3yrs.and loved working for them and had a chance to drink a beer with a real True Heart captain
amazon can't replace the blokes at jacksons corner!
✌😁
It's crazy to see how much Drew has changed since the beginning of the show...
I know it's because it is filmed but it drives me crazy when he passes up so much good stuff. I hope that behind the scenes he buys more.
same here
Yeah he leaves a lot of good stuff and money behind . And then says he needs to buy as much as he can . But walks past sooo much good stuff I don’t get it
He knows his own market guys. That’s way he is so successful
@@sarah-janegalipo3995 I mean I sell so much of the stuff that he walks past, I am truly amazed why he does that

You could have gotten major bucks for those old fly fishing rods and the case they all came in big time in the US
We used to use one of those vacuum tubes in the hospital lab. Loved it!
I'd love to see what they sold at auction for
Yes,.what do these things bring at retail ?
I would have loved to see that also
Hope auction went well... personally I would be apt to sell as possible

I’m not surprised that Jackson Corner went out of business with people like Brian working for them.
I hate when people say they want to sale, then don't. What a waste of time
I’d love to see a follow up of drew getting these displays at auction for half the price.
Nice hat Drew great deal hand made in England too.Think I will try to contact the dept.store to see if they might ship one or two.
I doubt you will have any luck. This episode is from 2014.
I used to go to this store every year for new school clothes as I lived in nearby village of Twyford

That is his business model and he knows what works for him.
I hope Drew knew that he could have got the stuff cheaper if he waited when the stuff went up at auction
thanks for sharing mate!
The stands with the circles are tie racks
I'm very addicted now to this show. ❤
Would hope they follow up at the auction showing the owner refusing to sell lose a bunch of money.
Fascinating, but I have to point out that the Union Jack is upside down!
That Geezer is whacked............ sell all those shop counters get em gone for a guaranteed price, one less thing to worry about. "I been doing this a long time and I'm right."
Stupid old people thinking they know everything lmao.
The dude probably never haggled in his life cuz the shop always had set prices...
35:00, in the states we called that tramp art. Pretty interesting piece nonetheless.
I wish these episodes were hours long
Drew, in America we call that geo. table top piece "Tramp Art" if you said twigs or matchbook that could be the case ?!
Great to see an episode play as it was on tv.
Poor Drew that man was a nightmare silly man he should of let you buy the counters
I've got a secret hoard!! Haha. I deal mostly in rare books though.
At 17:40 I realized there were Burger Kings in England.....does that not offend royalty?
Stand with the circle are for Hats

19:45 Wövv vvährwött ?
Love the shows, one thing that does surprise me is the lack of trees in UK cities.
yeah reminds me of Holland
good fun! mahalo!
Those haberdashery cabinets are worth at least£1000 a piece
Interesting, but everything in that place was on its last legs, even the people.
T - you crack me up - "at the top of that you'd feel like a normal person: - after all you cop that was a ripper!
T the dignified driver! His shorts must be being laundered. Figured he where's short pants all winter.Scottish Style!
Those hand made antique bamboo fly fishing rods.Sell for pretty high prices in the US.
Now that's a shop we will never see the likes of again. Sad.
They need a much bigger truck!
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's not that much fun watching jerks like that first guy. Good thing Drew got a star item by the end of the video.
He who has no past has no future.
Do you read your comments?
might have to have you put down! poor Tee.

antique = money, Innovation = rubbish
i just have a drink and smonk
The dude in the closing down shop....
Old people who think they know everything cuz they are old are so annoying lol.
often it is true
Brian has quite plainly eaten several people. Just call the police.
A room full of undressed lady mannequins and dozen "large spectacle " stands... I'd get one to diplay my favorite female foundation article
I like Tea, but he sure complains a lot and makes snide remarks even to Drew's face. Drew takes it like a champ though. He wouldn't last with me there'd be off camera yelling about attitude from me.
I thought they were divorced. So, they're back together?
These are old shows
They are still business partners
look at desription- it is very early 4 season . now we have over 15 season. greetings from Tricity in Poland!
