With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

I'll bet it does look great in black. Thanks for taking a look at this one.
$40K, man someone scored on that! Those cars were built like tanks, too, they really last. Best 60's body style for the 'Bird, the space age at it's finest.
This is definitely a nice example. Thanks for checking it out my friend.
Beautiful! I loved the older T-Bids that had the sports package with the roadster tonneau! It made for a beautiful 2-seater that you could easily open up to carry additional passengers. Practical 2-seater for the family man!
Other than the 1961-62 high performance engines with which were rated at 375 (1 X 4 Bbl) and 401 HP (3 X 2 Bbl), this was the most powerful 390 ever made. It put out 340 HP (3 X 2 Bbl) and was used in 1962 and 1963 and only in this very special version of the Thunderbird, the Sports Roadster. It was a nice effort but the car didn't really have the brakes and suspension that the extra power demanded to make a nice package.
Long ago I named the 61-63 T-birds 'Banana Birds' because that's what they looked at from the sides.
The tonneau cover is definitely what makes it so cool. Thanks for checking it out!
Always enjoy your vids :) always interesting and well done,THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING :)
green painted chrome dash kind of ruins it
I'm glad you like them. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
That's wild that he contacted you to apologize after all these years....don't guess he sent you a check too did he..lol.
BEAUTIFUL CAR!
I'm sure it sounds awesome when all three carbs are wide open.
I need to go to the U.S. to record these wonderful cars, and post videos on my channel ..... Americans love classics are beautiful, wonderful! I'm in love, I want to show my passion to the world and Brazilians here .... Jef hugs
If I see a place where you can get the trunk floor, I'll definitely let you know.
I had a chance to buy something similar about ten years ago. Would've only cost me $5k, and I had the money at the time. Watching this makes me want to cry.
That's a beautiful restoration!! I always liked that style!! Ya don't hear much about that style, I guess cause the 55-57's were so iconic eh!!☺
Glad it brought back some memories for you. It really is a great car. I'm sure it has plenty of power with that tri-power set up on there.
Bought one $600. Sold for $3000. Zero work. Brakes suck, swap for disks.
My friend had a 62 with the 390 and a four barrel. Good for about 9-10 mpg on Premium. But if you have one, I guess you don't care about that...
It really is slick..thanks for watching!
I'm liking these more and more. It's one of those cars that kind of grew on me over time.
Awsome beautyfull stunning t bird 😎 cool car perry mason series and Poul drake and of course della strett i just love that show
That's cool that he had one. I'll bet it looked even better in black. Thanks for taking a look at this one.
Yep, this would be a great summer cruiser. Thanks for watching!
62 Thunderbird Roadster might be the prettiest car Ford ever put out.

Glad you like it. Thanks for checking it out!
My dad had the same car, black on black. Loved that car.
This is one of mine favourite car even though I did not born in United states but still I would love to have one of these old sweet cars. Ali Texas
That brings back memories...Gary Davis, a former presidential candidate and self proclaimed world citizen, stiffed me on a stair railing job when i was about 16 and i stuffed a dead skunk under the seat of his beautiful Ford Thunderbird !...Looked just like this one....He actually just contacted me a few months ago, after all these years, and apoligized.
That is my exact same car i owned in 2000-2001 I sure do miss it , nice to see its in good condition
Hi. Can someone help need information on how to instal the back seat cover. Thank you
Do you mean the fiberglass Tanueu cover or the actual upholstery seat covers
Fiberglass cover. And seat covers. Most important is fiberglass cover,, we have ours just sitting in yard

I like Ford Thunder Birds from that Era They looked like the future space ship looking Notice the Coil mounted on the AC compresser No room for it on the intake with All those Carbs !!!
thats a cool car, looks like its been well taken care of
TrueType a classic dream car
The Only Way To Fly ! 😎
Awesome car 🚗
I am in total awe and love with this model. This model was used in the 60's movie, Palm Springs Weekend. Cruising down Highway 111 to Palm Springs. What a looker.
Threat looking car.
very nice
that's a gorgeous looking motor
My dad had one of those, destroyed it. 68 Vette, destroyed it. 79 Coupe de Ville, destroyed it. I'm doing my best to preserve the 04 GTO. Just conditioned the leather Saturday.
Sharp Thunderbird!!! I really like the wire wheels with white walls, CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!!!!
That is one gorgeous car. I would love to own it.
My dad's best friend has one of these in black with white leather. Very nice.
Nice
👌 👍
Why did they paint the chrome on the dash & the door moldings that awful green color? That depreciates the value.
I have seen other 62 birds with same treatment. Factory or color option?
I have 62 hardtop came color except the panels are blue not green, painted to match blue interior
Are those the factory correct mirrors?
wow, great 62 Bird, thanks for sharing
Very nice ride RamblinAround dude!
When I was growing up, my best friend's father had a 65' TBird, he totaled it, then bought a 66', I had the opportunity to drive it once, that thing had so much power, if you touched the gas pedal too much, you lit up the back tires...I also remember having a plastic model of a 64' TBird...I love that body style. Love your videos!
Nice Bird!!!
Wow it's in good condition
Nice!
Thanks for taking a look!
Thanks for taking a look!
Beautiful car. Video is better without sound! BORING commentary!
390 with the tri-state set up was rated at 401 horsepower
In the '62/'63 Thunderbirds 390 with 3 2bbl carbs which Ford called a "6 barrel" was rated at 340 H.P., some of the Galaxies with the 406 6 barrel were 401 H.P.,,,
