I think Chaol served a beautiful purpose. He and Aelin both taught each other so much... Most people fall in love with the wrong person at some point in their life, bringing their own struggles, baggage, and darkness into the relationship as well. We got to see that played out in TOG. Tower Of Dawn was such a beautiful redemption story 🥲💕
CC is actually my most fav SJM series 😭 acotar is next and then TOG but i loved the way we were just thrown into CC. i think it was so different bc CC was SJMs first full adult series and it definitely showed with the way her writing changed! i just fell so deeply in love with all the characters and i just related to bryce SO much
From what I’ve heard of theories concerning the novela in ACOTAR is that it’s like a transition between ACOTAR and TOG series, because chronologically speaking, the order of SJM universe is, the first three books of ACOTAR then you go read the entire TOG series, go back to the novela as a transition then with Silver flames and finally crescent city. Because if you look at it Silver flames is so different from the ACOTAR books and literally hints so many story line in the Crescent city books.

The Chaol hate hurts my heart! I think he gets way more hate than he deserves! He has his whole world turned upside down and he has to set aside all the beliefs he grew up with and change the way he thinks about the world (and he does!) but that’s a lot for anyone to have to go through and I think he deserved some grace and he didn’t get it! Not saying he didn’t do things wrong but so did almost every other character including our FMC!
I read Assassins Blade 4th & I loved it that way just because it was SO FRESH going into the rest of the books in the series. I still think this series is superior no matter what order you read it in
me: *has never read, have no intention of ever reading any Sarah J. Maas* also me: *eating up this entire episode because I would listen to y’all talk about anything* 😭

I am just starting in the SJM world - read A Court Of Thorn and Roses and loved it. So need to advance. Sara has me hooked on Lemon Lime Olipop and I discovered Grape - omg, so good!!! I didn't care for the Root Beer - sorry Des!

But what if the good guys are also bad guys? (As in Kammer's book.) Then you have a whole new angle and it's hard to know *what* to think.... In which case you could call it "poetic justice".

Their “relation” is through a literal god so it does count to me idc) but I thought Maeve brought it up to mess with them because she had always known they were mates and likely suspected they would start to have feelings for each other and she would always take an opportunity to make Rowan and Aelin uncomfortable
im sorry but danika is aelin. CC2 SPOILERS Danika is commiting literal treason and doesnt want to drag her friend into it. for good reason because it literally killded her in the end. I feel like you cant praise Aelin for not wanting to get her friends in trouble but then hate danika for it. Danika just didnt live to see it through but put fail safes in. Bryce wouldnt have lived to fight in the end if she knew what was going on at the time.
I am literally such a sympathetic person and I will admit I felt bad for Tamlin. I liked him in the first book and I hated what happened to his character. But I also can’t stand him at the same time lol.
