Engine Light on? Limp mode issue? Diagnostic and clean on Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI (2009 - 132,850 miles)

⚠️ Engine Light on? Limp mode issue?
🚗 Here we have a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI (2009 - 132,850 miles) booked in to investigate the Engine Management Light (EML) coming on.
🔎📊 Initial diagnostics showed a couple of historic codes relating to DPF regeneration duration and soot content, but the key issue causing the limp mode issue appeared to be the accelerator pedal position sensor signal. Once documented and cleared the engine light disappeared and was running OK again. No codes reappeared throughout a test drive and also throughout the clean.
ℹ️ Low fuel levels will stop DPF regeneration and with extremely short journeys this vehicle was kept at low fuel levels most of the time with a small top up every now and again. With a diesel vehicle fitted with a DPF try to keep fuel levels above ¼ tanks at all times so the DPF can regenerate when it wants to.
👨‍🔧 With the diagnostics complete the owner opted for an Engine Carbon Clean to clean up the source of the dirt. There was a significant amount of bass rumble from the engine and the throttle response was lacklustre. After the clean the engine had smoothed out and quietened down and the response had returned.

i have a 1.6 2010. the engine light has come on ive just drove out of the uk. took it to a garge they changed the filter oil cleaned the engine drove off its come back on. and now gose so slow up a hill i can feel it judder alittle now. do you know what the problem might be? had it tro a compture and coming back with nothing.

Engine light came on. It was the egr valve. Got it changed. 2 days later engine light back on. A day later and engine light is off again? Should I have it checked anyway? Or just wait to see if the light comes on again first? Thanks
