They closed the entrance with John’s body still inside... that has to be by far the scariest thing I’ve heard in real life incidents.. the story of trying to free him was so sad too... I feel so sorry for his family... they must be still grieving his death

Bro I’m not ashamed to admit that as a grown man, 22, I’m still afraid of the dark, claustrophobic, and scared of how I die. It boggles my mind that this is a way someone lost his life.
I'm here to tell you at 28 that it never goes away lol. And I'm not saying that trying to gain sympathy or anything. It's more of realizing that adults have these fears too but just express it in different ways. These fears are natural and help us survive as humans.
itsJCL by burning alive you actually die by the smoke, my number 1 worst way to die is getting cooked alive (like stuck inside a metal chamber while a fire rages on it so it gets really really hot)
There's things like scaphism or draw and quartering while alive. Or flayed alive or being impaled precisely so you survive for days. This sucks and I'm never going into a cave, but there are similar ways to die that also involve being actively tortured the whole time.
@Niall Lappin This is the scariest shit I know. Im not afraid of anything else but I have claustrophobia and these kind of videos are the only ones that make me uncomfortable.

Nope,I would take that over how Jones died. Once your tank runs out of air it’s over. You wouldn’t have to deal with long drawn out attempt of rescuers trying to save your life for 27 hours only to fail and then you die. Either way your dead. At least underwater it’d be much quicker.

What I don't get is if the only way they could have gotten him out alive was to have broken his legs, then why not break his legs to get his corpse out ? I mean what if he wasn't actually dead when pronounced dead, what if he had mearly slipped into a coma and was unconscious due to improper blood flow but could have later regained consciousness only to find himself utterly alone in there without so much as a voice in the cave to speak to him then died. Maybe it wasn't possible even with broken legs to remove him. I swear before everything that is holy and unholy that ppl who do things like this as a way of seeking fun must have a mental illness. Like for God sakes keep yourself at home and get a real hobby. What a cruel thing he did to his family by purposely putting himself into any cave exploration just so he could get some excitement. And now his wife and kids have no graveyard to visit. That was selfish. I mean you gotta feel bad for the guy. But the reality of the whole thing was selfish to his family. He def wasn't thinking of his wife, children, or parents when he took the first step into any cave, but I bet that was all he was thinking of when he was dying. It's just unthinkable really. R.I.P. all the same.
@@MS-rl1vz I dont get it either? Why didnt they just break his legs to save him? Surely it would cause tons of pain and the possibility of him dying from doing so but I'd rather take that chance instead of inevitable death in the cave.
Yea it baffles me considering the situation was already hopeless why they didn't even try to pull him out while he was still conscious and alive or even when he won unresponsive pull him out even if it breaks his legs. In 2005 underwater deep cave diver Dave Shaw died after he went way down deep into an underwater cave and he found the body of an underwater cave diver that had died 10 years prior and he was going back to get the body and they have is huge plan and he ended up dying and they were making it a documentary so he had a camera on his head and you literally see how he dies. *ZERO SYMPATHY* for idiots like these who put themselves and rescuers at risk with their rash behaviour. And why is it that it's almost always Westerners (meaning, people of a certain colour that I can't explicitly specify due to stupid RUclips censorship) who love to perform dangerous activities like cave diving, spelunking, free soloing, base jumping, and mountain climbing? Consider that for thousands of years, the native inhabitants around the Himalayan peaks considered those places sacred and never even attempted to reach the summits. The same can be said about every other indigenous culture on every single continent. Only when Westerners started climbing Everest in droves did it turn into a giant ecological disaster and open graveyard for hundreds of climbers. This innate desire of Western civilization to "conquer" everything it sees - from the highest tops to the deepest depths - is what has led to so much ecological and cultural devastation of the planet.

SuperMarioAaron 46 one of the worst ways yes, but not THE worst way. In my opinion drowning or burning alive would be the 2 worst

There's things like scaphism or draw and quartering while alive. Or flayed alive or being impaled precisely so you survive for days. This sucks and I'm never going into a cave, but there are similar ways to die that also involve being actively tortured the whole time.

I cannot even fathom the guilt he must have felt. Have some compassion.
Truth. I thought why would he even risk it but also he was human and sometimes we make bad decisions and it’s unfortunate and sad that this mistake cost him his life.

When they realize he's dead they didn't pull him out, so *the cave beacame his tomb?* What a horrible way to die.
That's so scary...

Thecloudyflash Gaming how the fuck is he racist. See the people like you misusing that word is just one of million examples on why that word is loosing its power today. It seems like anyone and everyone is a racist

@@dopaminergicc I agree
Now imagine you are immortal and trapped in a hole.
@@Nemesis_T_Type Eh at least someone can crack that rock one day and get him out. He's immortal c'mon he can't die so he can wait for thousand of years before someone finds him.
I’ll never understand how caver’s enjoy this bs, “thrill seek” bro how is slowly creeping through dark muddy tunnels a thrill ? You get nothing out of it, with climbers it’s also very difficult but than you’re treated to a beautiful view. I don’t get the cave diving or how anyone would enjoy it.
I wonder what archaeologists of the future will say when they find his body like that under all the cement...
It's not ice...they won't get anything at all.
They'll say, " Darwin was right!"
Depending on how far into the future it is, it'll likely be just a pile of bones at the bottom of a tiny hole
That cave is haunted forever
@@vishabhcool3558 incorrect. There's no decomposition process in caves. Bodies are preserved due to the antibacterial environment because the life condition is zero. That body will be there for Thousands of years just as preserved as the day he got stuck!
That poor man is last moments must have been horrifying
Hopefully he became intoxicated with the poisons in his body and he was unconscious at the end, hopefully.

Did anyone else feel like there chest was being compressed or am I just that claustrophobic
Dredgen Malice I’m usually not claustrophobic at all, I’ve been in an MRI for over an hour. But while watching this video, my chest was tightening up the entire time :/
Dredgen Malice I passed out of it makes you feel better
@Bomb Ussy WHAT THA-
Well, I mean, it could just be your senses tingling again...
I had to skip through bc I was feeling like I was being closed in n started to feel panicked just from hearing the details ... I do not understand the cave diving thrill it scares tf outta me.. at least rock/mountain climbing u can see everything around u and u have all the space in the world... the part about him having to inhale to get through got me the most and if u panic they say it expands something or another n it’s than impossible to get out of the stuck position so yea if I was in that situation I’d be screwed... nope I’ll b A-OK n keep myself in open areas
