Note: I was getting zombie reactions confused with Licker reactions from the RE2 board game a couple of times here. They don't respond to you moving in the tile they are in.
I ordered the complete set straight away when it was released today. I really want to get my figurines painted so now I need to go hunting! Thank you for uploading, makes it easier to understand how to play.
Just received this today and wanted to watch a quick playthrough to get the hang of the rules, this looks excellent... and my word your miniatures look incredible mate. Absolutely fantastic job.
They don’t do an out of sequence reaction when you move, search, or perform an action other than attacking, correct? The exception being when you do an action other than attack when on the same square as an enemy?
You are correct. They only time the enemies react are if you try and pass them and fail, if you attack them, or at the end of the round reaction. The enemies do not react like he was showing. They stay where they are when you move, search, trade, and open doors. Also, another key factor that was misinformed was when the barrel explodes it actually causes 3 damage in the same square and 1 damage in the adjacent squares. Also when he was getting attacked by the zombies another thing he was doing was rolling for evade each time an enemy attacked him. This is incorrect for when an enemy is in the same square, so when an enemy in the same square is attacked like when he failed the knife attack, the zombie will immediately attack him. You cannot evade the attack. You have to suffer the 1 damage and then push the enemy away one square. You don’t get to roll for evade for situations like this. The only other thing also is when he moved into the room and closed the door, the enemies no longer will react. So he did not need to move the other enemy closer to the door, as that enemy no longer is on the same tile, or tile linked together by an open door. So the enemy will not react at all and just stay where it is. Everything else was explained very well, and good gameplay to watch. Just minor things that can be corrected next scenario.
@@OfficerREYES1 That’s how I have understood the rules. It’s always good to know I’m playing it right. This game is fun. We played our second scenario last night and had to defeat the Nemesis. It was really tense. 😃
is the deepening paranoia card permanently removed from the game? or does it go back to the tension deck after finishing the scenario? please solve this question
Great video! Also remember that you can push zombies and other creatures on your square when you roll a push on the dice. You could've done this around the 17:00 mark.
Did they change the gameplay? Usually zombies only walked when misperformed an attack, or in their reaction phase. Seems new to me, that they also move, during the players movement. Usually they states such a behavior in the zombie card (like the licker in re2tbg).
is the deepening paranoia card permanently removed from the game? or does it go back to the tension deck after finishing the scenario? please solve this question
The card or scenario tell you when to add or remove cards from the Tension deck. I can’t be more specific than that since I don’t remember the wording of that card.
So I just found out version 3 is actually not the latest so I'm a bit confused but my question is about the layout. I see here a very maze-y map layout (which I like) but I believe the latest version (Resident Evil) has a more compact layout. Am I right about that? Or does that depend on things?
The RE1 board game does things a little differently yeah. You start with a relatively small area and then draw random-ish cards to generate larger areas of exploration. Not sure if it’ll be better or not; we’ll just need to see when it releases.
Hello, I just started a campaign with my boyfriend. I seen your video, where did you get the 3D pieces from? It would make the game less straining on the eyes 🤣 the flat doors are hard to see.
So i am trying to start my first mission and i am confused on how to set up the C deck. I dont see any solid information in the rulebook about how to set it up. All the rulebook says is to C tokens are campaign specific items. But how do you actually construct the deck? Can you explain how you did it?
The doors and boxes are part of an official terrain pack for the game. I’m not sure if it’s sold outside of the Kickstarter. I use Contrast paint to paint my miniatures. If you look at my Getting Stuff Painted videos playlist you can find the episodes where I cover painting the minis for this game to hear the specific colours etc.
If you shoot a Zombie when it's in the same space as another Zombie and manage to kill/push the zombie you were aiming at, does the Zombie you didn't hit move towards you?
So how is the game overall playing solo. Was considering resi 2 board game or this resi 3 but will be playing many solo so not sure which one would be best for solo play?
I do paint them myself yup! If you’re interested what paints I used etc I’ll cover the RE3 minis in the next Getting Stuff Painted video I film. You can also go back to older ones where I show and talk about RE2 miniatures being painted.
@@FliksTabletopGaming awesome! i will make sure to take a look at that, currently on the road to painting the mini's and have been trying to find guides on how to get them painted lol thank you!
Thank you, I would just like to buy the game, so I wanted to ask if they are you. The rules are simple. I've been watching you for a few days now. I'd rather ask you. Thanks and have a nice day.
I’m curious if it’s possible to use the characters from the RE2 board game in conjunction with this one to add even more options for players or if they were designed to only fit the previous game
@@FliksTabletopGaming Appreciate the response. The rulebooks for both games are available to view on Steamforged’s website so I’ll pull both up and see if any major changes are present EDIT: After some examination I can confidently say that the RE2 characters (minus one or two very small discrepancies) should be just fine to use in RE3. Unsure as to general size of the figures between both games but they shouldn’t be too far off
So I'm a little confused about the scenarios tension deck, like does it always start with say the begining 15 green cards and the other bad cards from the tutorial and from that you add more in? Or is it only when the scale goes higher? Because in the re2 book it says what cards have to go in but in this one it only says certain events ones that are bad and not like how many greens or the others that was in the tutorial levels stay in the deck or come out, sorry for the complex of this one.
You don’t remove any green cards unless explicitly told to as you play through. You only take out yellow/red cards when told to as well. You add the cards it tells you when you enter a mission. The only thing that might confuse things is if you need to retry a mission you removed cards during. You’d need to put the deck back to how it was at the start before attempting again. Hope that clears it up a bit.
Scale as in more players? I don’t recall a rule like that the only thing that changes is number of ink ribbons. You’d need to double check the rules on that one.
@@FliksTabletopGaming I see well I ment as in the table like the threat level where the counter goes up every stage, like when it goes from green to orange does that mean more greens cards are added. Sorry if I confused ya there.
@@DuraheLL Well it really helps if you get the inserts+organisers. But straight from the box it was like half an hour chore and you play 15min and have to pack or make the next scenario. Hey Flik, for the "Grave Wind" tension card, do Barricades count as "non-locked non-one-way door"?
I’d say not but you’d need to ask Steamforged to be sure.
