I wish people paid more attention to bending and vibrato instead of shredding. It makes such a difference.

I wish more people paid attention to developing technique AND tasteful playing. It's not a false dilemma (either-or), it's all part of the full spectrum of playing an instrument.

Any kind of bending is such an expressive technique and I love playing 1/2 step bends 👍

Clapton’s intro to Cream’s “Badge” also uses some of these bending techniques to great effect 🤔

9:21 opened my eyes, I never figured out how to make that sound. thank you very much Jeff you improved my game by light years in a few minutes. I also play a lot with vibrato, bends and slides, but I would never have thought of that myself. It's so easy 😅 🎉

Love how you explain it and expertly play your way through it. There is plenty of territory in a half step bend. I think I kinda knew it--thanks to you I now more completely understand it!!!

Jeff, you did again! Just as my practice sessions start to get a bit stale and boring you come out with this gold nugget of juiciness and spark my motivation back up to 10. Big fan of your playing. Have both of your albums. Brilliant stuff! 👍

Great lesson Jeff. If you listen to Jerry Garcia's lead playing from back in 1972-73 he was pretty obsessed with half step bends at the time, and used them very expressively IMO.
