- Today I'm bringing you video of an amazing flight demo put on by FOUR HSD F-86 EDF Jets at the Victor Valley RC Club's "Jets Over The High Desert" event held in November 2022 at the Victor Valley RC Club field in Hesperia, California. This video is great to watch as your can see the entire flight from start to finish AND hear the pilots calling out maneuvers and talking to each other all throughout the flight.
The pilots involved were: Berkin Ecevit, Alex Soldatov, Tom Williams, and Eric Moosa. These pilots were flying totally FPV and the formation accuracy was really amazing! Thanks for watching and I look forward to your comments, likes and subscriptions!
That was great! The fourth man needs to tighten up, but I can defiantly understand the hesitation, more practice will be perfect!
I totally agree with you my friend, awesome flying and practice will definitely make perfect! Cheers!
My goodness, THAT was the best formation flight video I've ever eyeballed. Most can't keep them all in the view finder. I tip my hat to the pilots, their skill and for once, to fpv. Great video John, AirHammer out!!
Thank you so much for the very kind comments my friend! The skill of those pilots is just mind boggling!!
6:53 that was fantastic that makes me want to try fob great job
Absolutely!! These guys are amazing at this!
awesome !!! you don't see that often ...nice 😎👍👍 tnx for sharing...
Thanks brother! I figured you'd like that given the fact you like F-86s 😎👍😁
That was sweet! Was that the blackstar fpv fellas? Great camera work too
Thank you my friend for the compliment, and yessir, that's the Blackstar Canyon gang in action 😎👍😁
That was awesome 👌 👏 👍🏻
Thanks Roy! I still can't believe the skill and practice it takes to do that 😯👍😎
The airfield looks nice too. It´s amazing how dry it is over the mountains...
It's a very nice field for sure, and what a great flight!!
Thanks for sharing a great video of our flight. Great video and a fun day!
No problem brother! It was great to catch up with you recently and look forward to seeing you guys soon back in Victorville! If work permits that is. All the best my friend and thanks for being such good ambassadors of our hobby!
Nice!
For sure! Thanks my friend!
This is absolutely amazing footage!! Great job John
Thank you Chris, glad you enjoyed it!! Amazing pilots for sure!
That was crazy cool! I'd love to see a cockpit view. Gotta be a full headtracking setup. Thanks for sharing!
It is cool indeed brother! They have full tracking FPV setups in the aircraft. The pilots have a channel that they post on, I'll have to look it up and post the link in the comments. Blue skies my friend!!
Very nice ! It’s hard enough to keep a 4 ship full scale formation together … can’t imagine doing it with a model in vr.!! 🇺🇸👍🙋♂️🖖🏻
For sure Chris! Great work by all pilots involved 😁👍🇺🇸
Wow great! Nice formation flight on FPV. Watching that live on the side of the pilots must have been enjoying :)
Thanks Francisco, it was amazing to watch those skilled pilots for sure 😁
Man John I have eyeballed one of those HSD F-86's. Big and beautiful, but the short flight time when you do more than circle at low throttle kinda turned me off. These fellas did a great job! Thanks for sharing!
Hey there Adam! Yeah, that whole HSD lineup is pretty amazing, most are very large models for sure! I agree about the short(er) flight times. These were flying on 12s, and I'm pretty sure these models all had additional packs for the FPV gear, and even then I bet they were sucking down the batteries pretty hard! To be fair, all EDFs suffer from that. And I agree, these guys kicked butt indeed! Blue skies my brother!!
Fun day at VVRC! Keep up the great work sir!!
Thank you so much Thomas, that was a fun day for sure brother!!
Good video that's hard to do I've tried it before formation flying thanks for sharing
Thanks for the kind words Alan, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Those guys are good for sure!!
Always dreamed of doing that.
I agree, must be a rush for sure!
Its like a real life video game. Go and get your gear, motionsic sells the hardware
Try it. ... i promise youll be hooked
@@redwineisfine I bet!!
Amazing! Are they using head tracking as well I assume?
Yessir, I believe they are. Those first three jets were locked in tight!!
So cool. I love it! (from Norcal here)
Thank you my friend 😁👍
That was awesome🇺🇸🪖
Thanks David 😎👍🇺🇸
Very nice flying! 👍🏻🙂🎄🎅🏻
Thank you Randy! Merry Christmas to you my friend ⛄🎄 🎅
Bravo!!!! Amazing!!!
Amazing indeed my friend!!
Great Show My good Fellow.
Hiya Mate!! Thanks Jono for checking in, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers brother!!
Did all or at least most of them fly FPV on these giant foam EDF's? Great teamwork!
Hi Edwen! Yes, all of these giant EDFs were being flown FPV, from takeoff to landing! Remarkable piece of piloting!
Great vid John. Were those HSD F-86's ? Nice flying pilots.
They were my friend, and thanks for the good words! I agree, the pilots are exceptional!!
Coming along nicely guys. Was there a reason tail end Charile was hold ing back and not making a diamond formation? You ought to try a line astern then peeling off one after the other for the downwind and base leg then landing as that would look cool. And do your F86's have speed brakes like the real F86 as that ought to help a lot with getting into and holding ight formation if used in conjunction with throttle.
Hi Mike, the reason the last F-86 was so far behind was because the pilot was new to the model and formation at the time of shooting the video. I've been told he's much more comfortable now and the formation is really looking good! All the best my friend!
@@JustwingitRC Excellent. Look forward to following progress. Do you have speed brakes on the planes?
@@mikeonb4c Not sure about the speed brakes as I was only shooting video and talked briefly with the modelers. I hope to catch up with them again sometime soon!
@@JustwingitRCIt'd be interesting to know as they would really help with holding position in formation. But I'm sure they've considered the various options. Very Cool though 👍
That was Great!
Thanks my friend!!
Nice tight formation on the first three. Seemed the 4th just couldn't keep up and stick with the rest.
For sure my friend! The first three were absolutely locked in...
I have a feeling the fourth plane was hanging back to get the nice shot of the other three. They post fpv footage on their channel
@@stevenf0 That could very well be the case! I am aware they post videos, that makes sense...
Assume flying and video John zoom zoom zoom X4 Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, glad you liked it brother!!
Tomcats Field
I didn't know it had a name. Cool!
