      Me too! Landings are pretty easy with that plane. Lots of wing but still, that was probably my best landing to date.

    Buttery smooth landing. Do you plan to repair the red T33?

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Год назад +1

      Nope. It's done. I probably could have repaired it but after spending all that time painting and filling that plane, I didn't want to do it again. That was my first bigger edf so it had some miles on it. I figured at some point, I'll get another one and it will be nice to have a shiny new one again.

    When I saw you do the 2nd go around I thought Ohoh. Dont do it. I had only 5 percent left on my batteries after 2.20 mins on my maiden. Running older 5200 mah admiral Carbon paks.

      I was watching a few other vids and forum posts and others are getting much better flight times on their t33s. So i was very surprised when I was fully out of battery. I need to put voltage telemetry on this one.

  • @lmramos44
    @lmramos44 2 года назад +1

    Wow when you went around I was worried you were going to run out of battery, take note that there are weights in the wing tip tanks, don’t knife edge too slow. I am on my second one, it is a great flyer. Just received the HSD ME-262. Planning on assembling it this week. I really like the larger foam jets, easier to both fly and see. But the 120mm is a battery eater. Nice job.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  2 года назад +2

      Thanks! Yeah... the gear stuck kinda messed me up! On the ME-262, keep a bit of down elevator on your rollout and release it only when you are at flying speed. The underslung engine nacelles have a bit of a pitch up effect at high throttle / low speed and you can easily take off before you are at flying speed. Happened once, when I forgot to keep a bit of down... almost crashed it.

      Can anything be done to improve battery performance or is it just the sheer size of it?

    • @lmramos44
      @lmramos44 2 года назад

      @@capnhardway I usually cut back to half throttle once the jet gets on step. But it is definitely a 3 minute flight to be safe.

    Nice which one is best and why
    Aerofoam mb 339 or hsd t33

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Год назад

      Out of the box.... HSD T-33. Nicer quality with its MFC that everything plugs into (already done for you). Flies lighter... landings are easier with its lighter wing loading. Better roll rate. Better quality edf fan. But no foam spares. If you break a vertical stab and want a replacement, nope. Unless you are willing to shell out for a whole kit. But the 339 is really good. The edf is so-so... hsd seems to use the same motor, but their fan unit does make a difference. It does fly great. Lands with a bit more power, but it's manageable. Wiring will not be as nice as the HSD because all servo connections go directly to the receiver and it has small boards for BEC, brake controller and retract controller. You can't go wrong with either but i did replace the motor right away on the 339. Still like the 339. If i wanted just one, the T33 would be it. But the 339 isn't bad.

    Mr ALL RC i have the same Hsd T33. Could you please tell me how to calibrate the esc? Thank You sir

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Год назад

      It's pretty easy. Put your stick full throttle. Turn on the plane and then hook up the main batteries. Wait a couple of seconds for the esc to initialize and then throttle to idle. Make sure throttle cut is off for this to work. That's it!

    • @all_rc

      SMC smc-racing.com I'm just starting to use them.... they are worth the money. I've tested them in a few of my planes and the power, and endurance is noticeably better. I used the 6200mah High Voltage version. You charge them on the LiHV setting which charges the battery to 4.35v per cell.

    Does anyone know if the foam body turns to a popcorn like surface when the HSD planes are exposed to hot sun like most all foam planes?

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Год назад

      Yes. It'll bubble. My canopy interior (under the clear plastic) is starting to bubble but that's worst case. Rest of the plane is fine. It's foam so yeah, you do have to treat it gentle. On really hot or sunny days, I have a packing blanket I put on the plane to try an protect it but the body hasn't shown signs of bubbling.

      Uhm... that's taxiing in the dirt where we pit. Had to make sure the nose wheel tracked straight before taking it to the main runway. We have a concrete runway. There wouldn't be any dirt spray from that!I'm not trying to deceive anyone!
