Absolutely lovely, you must be so pleased to see the fruits of all your hard work! Beautiful! :D
Thank you so much! I couldn't be happier with them. This year I will show some better strains :)
Yo the coral and golds are ridiculously beautiful....how do you know if you have a new strain exactly?? I have some i have been breeding for like 4yrs and quite unique looking at this point but idk if its new
Hey Brandon, if you do your own crosses, your fish are quite unique, and most important: you produce them by line-breeding (with selection processes, not so many breeder per generation, etc) then you have your own strain although other hobbist have similar strains.
Beautiful! all 10 of them, Happy new year :)
Thank you! Happy New Year, my friend! :)
********HAPPY NEW YEAR*******

A few stunners. Care to share obsidian line selection technique? Where did you start? And how long to stabilize?
So many beautiful strains. Love it

Thanks for watching! :)
Happy new year Carlos!
Happy New Year, my friend! :)
Woooow 😍
Happy New Year Carlos 🎉🎉🎉
Very nice strains... Do you have Wild strains too of Endlers??
Thank you! Yes, I also have some wild types from Campoma and Cumaná but all of them are also strains developed in tanks through different processes (selections, crosses with hardy females, addition of all kinds of genetics developed in captivity...). That is not a bad thing, every breeder and strain has his own merits and value.
Happy New Year, my friend, and thanks for watching! 🙂
todos fabulosos Carlos....
Muchas gracias
beautifull strain
carlos I was wondering if u sell any of your endlers. I have never seen them in any pet store in my area. I purchased a couple on line but they didn't survive in my big tank. I have since bought another tank just for these fish. The company i bought them from only had 3 kinds and is constantly out of stock. Can u help? i would like to start breeding them.
Hi Doug, I sell but only in the city where I live (Madrid) and I can't send to other countries because of some funny laws... About endlers and stores, it's the same all over the world, there are small stocks of only 3 or 4 commercial varieties with highly variable quality... I always say the best choise is to look for a serious breeder of livebearers in your area, maybe a guppy breeder or a local association will help and advise you throughout the whole process. You will see it's a marvelous hobby. Best of luck.
How to buy?
Do you sell them?
Omg! Those are amazing color variations! I'm line breeding and backcrossing guppy/endler hybrids to Cobra, Blue Star, N class Black Bars, Rainbow Tigers and Napalms. My goal is endler sized fish with dark and/ or iridescent bodies and bright rainbow colors AND colored females. I maintain a small, intensively managed colony of 12 to 18 pairs. I'm catching 10th generation fry now... very tiny. My males are averaging about 33% endler size and type. My females are about the same for size and type, with about 25% colored. The guppies in using are the best, brightly colored females and occasionally males that I can find locally (NY, USA). And I just added some Steel Nebulas, micro Red Metallic Laces and Dumbo Mosaics. I have crown, lyre, round, delta, veil, spade and pin tails. And yellow (leopard, tiger, bumblebee, tuxedo and ghost), blue (metallic, tuxedo and 2 spot) and orange (iridescent, tuxedo, leopard and flame) colors.
Do your colors breed true? And if so, how long did you work with them to get there?
Hi Cynthia, I'm very happy reading your comment because it's great to be able to exchange words with another lover of hybrids. I see you have the same goals regarding to general size and brightness and you also have some very interesting proyects involving so many traits.
About your question, I've to say it's a very complex topic because every color and pattern has its own genetic behavior (mode of inheritance) so we have to understand how each one works in order to produce "real" breeding lines with uniform specimens, fathers and sons with the same traits.
For example, when I work with autosomal recessive traits for base colors (Golden, Blond, Albino types...) I have to wait untill the F2 generation to see the first fry with that base colors. But as these are recessive traits they are very easy to fix in the breeding line, so I know I can fix these base colors in the F3 generation.
Then we also have autosomal dominant traits, double and triple recessives, sex-linked traits... Many types of traits, all of them are tools with which we can have fun.

The coral and gold were the most beautiful fish I have ever seen
Thank you very much. It's a special strain with its golden filigran pattern above the black background.
Happy New Year, Chuk.
