excited for ours! my dog's about as heavy as a collie but i think it's ridiculous that large beds much worse than the big barker cost WAY more, and flatten right to the floor. so im glad to see your dogs enjoy it

Can a big dog w/o hip dysplasia sleep on this bed comfortably? I want to get a Newfoundland dog. They can average 150lbs to 175lbs. The breeders I have been reviewing guarantee no hip dysplasia along with the elimination of other illnesses common in large breed dogs. I am also curious if this bed will keep the dog cool. Newfoundland dogs have double coats.

LOL...🐕💖🐕 I too have 2 doggies...One is my little girl Precious who is a Maltese & my other furbaby is my BIG Boy Popeye who is a Bully as well & the last time I weighed him he was about 70,lbs but he has gained a lot more weight after he got fixed though. LOL..💖🐕💖 So I was wondering if you don't mind me asking was the (EXTRA LARGE BED) Costly...Bc I am SURE my little one may WANT to lay on it especially once she sees us/family MAKING A REAL BIG DEAL OUT OF IT!!! I just bought a BRINDLE 4 inch bed with liner It's great....I'm really impressed..... for only 77$......if anybody buys this product from brindle..... make sure you really fluff out... it was really compressed
I want to know how this bed works for heavy chewers! I have a German Shepherd Doberman mix puppy who refuses to keep a bed in her crate without destroying it over night, but without a bed she makes so much noise!
if you're worried about durability or messes I got this crate pad called a "primo pad". it's about as comfortable as a gym tumbling mat but i have a dog with a sensitive stomach who used to be prone to spitting up so it was good for reducing crate noise but i could rinse it off if he got sick on it (we're getting a big barker for a house bed though)
I want to order this but I’m deciding between XL and Jumbo for my 2 dogs. Was leaning towards XL but was hoping it was big enough. I have a 95 boxer/mastiff mix and a boxer.
I got an XL for my bedroom with the head rest. My grand pup is a 200 pound English Mastiff. I ended up ordering the Giant size one for my living room. No regrets. Have had them 2 years now and they still look like new.

You missed some key points in your review! For example, this is the EASIEST dog bed to remove, wash and redress the bed cover EVER! Great zipper and wide opening. No need to wrestle to change the cover.
Russ Clark not at all! They still love it and try and stay on it all day. It has prevented their legs from falling sleep and then limping when they get up like other beds which proved to be too soft and lacking support.
It's NOT chew proof but they hide the zippers very well and try to make it as unappealing to chew as possible. I bought the xtra large and we all love it. So far so good
Ruth Mikowski understood but if you put together the costs of beds you buy over the years, and stuffing to refill them when they wear out, the costs for that all adds up. My BigBarker is going strong still as the first day. No wear signs. Totally worth it!

@@ab2144 Yeah, she is 9 months old now and 84 lbs. She's a very large puppy. The original post was when she was around 50-60 lbs, but I have got to find something to put under her. She has even destroyed an extra large industrial carpet square that I cut to fit down in the crate pan. She managed to dig it out and shred the thing. She just gets soooo loud when she is moving around on that plastic pan and her crate is at the head of my bed, so she is constantly waking me up. I don't think she likes beds and prefers to sleep on the pan, but it makes her so loud...
