  • LIVESTREAM HIGHLIGHTS: This DIY arched cathedral window frame is easy and inexpensive to make out of plywood and PVC trim and will make a great addition to my window-less garage. If you too have a basement or workshop without any windows, a faux window frame can transform the feel of the room, especially when you add lighting or even a back-lit image as a scene to look out at. In our case, this arched window frame is going to feature Young Frankenstein's castle with animated components that respond to real thunderstorms and tells us when lightning is nearby! To add a stone effect, just tap on some spackle with an old brush and build it up allowing each coat to dry.

    INTERACTIVE LIVE BUILDS
    -------------------------------------------
We're celebrating one of my favorite classic monster movies, Frankenstein, by building a key component every mad scientist needs - a way to detect an approaching lightning storm. We can’t bring our creations to life without lightning! You decide what features to add live and I try to incorporate as many of suggestions as I can in real-time.

Very true! The PVC trim was less than $5 and much easier than I thought it would be to bend with heat. I've soaked wood trim in my bathtub before but you still have to be really careful bending it.
