The Video is very helpful. One tip, it would be easier to disconnect the positive terminal from the front of the passenger seat. This would require connecting to a backup battery (or use the new battery) and move the power seat backwards. After disconnecting the positive terminal, then move the seat forwards and take the battery out. After put the new battery in, move the power seat back and forth again.
Always disconnect the negative first, and remember that car is still live with 12v power from the aux battery so be aware of that positive terminal so you dont short the system
Thanks for the video. For me, I'm replacing the dead one with the new one. You're saying we'd need a 3rd battery connected to the + and - in the engine bay, sitting on the floor and then un-connect that AFTER putting the new one in under the seat? I'm not a mechanic. Is it ok to not use a third one like you show that's on the floor?
Hello Sir, I have a question about the GLE battery. I am going away for half a year and the last time (7 month ago) I did that the battery completely died so I had to get it replaced. I will be leaving for another 6 month to a year soon, and wonder if the new battery will be okay ( I can jump start it if needed but can't replace a totally dead battery by myself) or should I disconnect it? and if I disconnect it, will it be okay to just disconnect the negative terminal or should I disconnect everything? thank you!

You don’t have to connect a 3rd battery it is just for backup. You can still replace the battery the normal way.
So after the battery replacement, there is no other systems or parts to reset?
Sometimes you may have a engine light on. You may need to plug in the ObdII reader and scan and erase the code.
Does a GLS has auxiliary battery and where is it located
It is in the boot under the spare wheel under the flaps on the side
@@batteryrushsydney Thanks so much ....if auxiliary battery is malfunction and I replace main battery only will my car start
@@ibraheemgraham9677 Yes it will start. But you do need to replace auxiliary battery as well to power electronics

With both terminals disconnected a Benz SUV's battery should be fine for 6 months, but I'm not completely sure about for a year
What would cause the battery tray to fill with water?
Windshield leaks or sliding roof drainage
That f hard way put battery Mercedes benz
🤣 thanks Mumbles….
Don't cut the carpet, no need 🤦🏻♂️
