For reference, I'm an old guy (53) and a 300 foot drive is almost miraculous for me. I just got the Trail last week and have played a few rounds with it. Basically it's a faster Crave. Even for me, it flips up to straight from a slight hyzer and goes straight and then has a little fade at the end. For something a little more understable, I just got an Innova Gorgon. Great S-lines for me at 300 feet.
Have you tried the PP Drive? I have been throwing it a lot. I have been throwing wraiths and beasts for decades. I think it fits right between the two. Does this trail fit in that same realm?
I haven't heard any plans for other plastics, but with how popular the release has been I'd be surprised if we don't get more options soon. I think it'll be a staple in there lineup.
I tested my new trail today. More stable than I thought for sure, hardly flips up at all for me, but does have great glide and a subtle fade. I'd give it flight numbers 10 6 -0,5 1,5. I think if I give a bit of anhyzer, it will fare well, and also on forehands.
I have the same disc in the same color!! Trail Twins!! All kidding aside, the Trail is pretty sweet. It's a faster, domier, Crave. I love how it flips up, flies straight, and depending on your height, it's got a small-medium finish. And that skip, though!
threw the trail downwards from a small ish mountain side would best describe it. i put it on a tiny bit anhyzer and threw it far left since there was a tree in the middle of a path i needed and the best opening was on the left side of the tree. it flew beautifully, and actually faded without becoming a roller. never was able to do that kind of shot. but god damn, i love that disc now. 10/10 would recommend! XD
Got mine in. My first few throws got me wondering about the speed. Turns out, the rim width(From PDGA) is the same as a Wraith and slightly wider than a Beast. No wonder it can compete with distance drivers.
History. When it was released in 2005, the Wraith was the fastest and furthest-flying disc in Innova's history. It was a huge leap forward in disc technology, and was their first true maximum-distance driver. People are crazy paying 25.99 for a Chinese knock off wraith. Why doesn’t mvp say made in the USA?
@ gotta revise my thoughts. I think I was having a bad form day or something. Maybe dropping my elbow and annying but yesterday it flew really well as a straight flyer so it’s probably me and not the disc
What would get your vote for the 2024 disc of the year? 🤔
Your form is getting a lot better since beginning these series
Thanks! The grind never ends 🫡

Glad you’ve been liking it! I still need to try the Gorgon

I have! I’d say the Trail has noticeably more turn than my prototype Drive. The Drive was a great release this year.
@@FlyingFajitaDiscGolf sounds excellent. Hard to get that turn and glide up here in Denver. Is the trail only in neutron currently you think?

I'm excited for the Trail bc the Construct has been my favorite driver and this is like that except with way more torque resistance.
I haven’t tried the Construct yet but everyone I know who’s tried it really likes it
Just absolutely amazing reviewer. Definitely see 10k subs in the future
You're too kind 😭

I think those numbers are pretty fair 👍
I’d be curious to see if those numbers change after it gets broken in
Yeah this is one I’m looking forward to breaking in a bit more. Crazy to see Simon get tons of turn out of it in his newer videos.

My brother in Trail ✊ Love the mint color 👌
Also, Mint Discs has a flying taco glow disc, and I think of you and your channel every time I see it
I’ve never seen that before- it looks sick! I need one

I did notice that the rim width was a bit larger than expected. There’s a few MVP molds with atypical rim widths relative to their numbers.

@@reedmecum8966 Because Michigan is in the USA?
@@reedmecum8966uh what? They are made/molded in Michigan bud. Last I checked Michigan is here in the USA
I want to buy it but the Musket is firmly in this slot for me and doing great. I would love to throw one though
I like the Musket too 👍
Yeah, these are out of stock at least in Europe. MVP has one job: double the production!!
Demand has been crazy- we definitely need more
The perfect distance driver doesn’t exi…

It disappointed me today. My 168g neutron flipped over all day long. And I am a noodle that throws 270 drives
That’s a bummer 😔

@patrickflanigan951 We all have those days 🫡
