Cleveland weather: Another system to watch this weekend with accumulating snow potential

Cleveland weather forecast for Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Another storm system will get going tonight into early tomorrow in the southern Plains. An area of low pressure will ramp up and head right through Ohio tomorrow into early Thursday. A large shield of precip will overspread the area beginning Wednesday afternoon and with temperatures near the freezing mark, we'll likely start as a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain. Temps will warm aloft and here at the surface pretty quickly Wednesday evening so we're expecting precip to change over to all rain with minimal impacts later in the evening. That Wednesday evening drive home could certainly be slick!
This system pulls out quickly Thursday with any leftover showers changing back to snow showers before ending. The rest of our Thursday looks quiet with colder temps settling in.
Attention then turns toward another bigger system this weekend. The track continues to fluctuate in the modeling, so it's too soon to talk about specific details...but the potential is there for some snow Saturday that may mix or change over to rain. The potential is also there for a good accumulating snow Sunday as another low gets going with this storm system. All of this will need to be closely monitored the next few days -- make sure you're staying up on the latest with the forecast!
