No doing it that way is more of a hassle with this design. The bit bites in and spin's the fire wood around more often than not unless you can wedge the firewood against something to keep it from spinning.
Well besides cleaning it, greasing it, and changing the oil plus filter there really hasn't been anything to fix yet. The only thing I would recommend is buy the heavy duty attachments if you want them to last .
@tacomafan7488 Groundhog Equipment sources all of its machines through many different manufacturers but before they are branded Groundhog's and given a warranty Nick Hackenberg replaced all of the parts that he doesn't have faith in. He has sold enough machines now to know what works and what fails. My Groundhog in this video was manufactured by high top and its been a pretty good machine so far. I buy most of my attachments from Groundhog. They offer over 40 attachments now and they keep adding more.
Any brand Mini Excavator would be an asset to anyone with a rural property. They are just so capable of performing so many different tasks and for the price they are hard to beat
😊 Work good i'm impressed
Thanks
I was wondering if you stood a block of wood vertical would it split it easier?

make shorter blocks. I am researching using an hydraulic splitter suspended parallel to the ground and operated from yhe seat
@@johneaton4364 I have a pile of cherry firewood that I can split. I'll work that into the next video. Thanks for watching!
What kind of wood is that?
@frankp215 I split ash, maple, and cherry in the video.
Great video sir! How many hours on your machine?
I have a little over 160 hours on this machine. It works pretty good and I haven't had any major mechanical issues with it so far.
Wow! Nice to hear that! I’m sure you are so picky about the service 😅!!!
