You know what?..I believe the light bulb in my head is beginning to shine a little brighter--seeing this stitch done with bigger beads is a huge help--maybe, just maybe after watching over and over, I'll finally begin to understand and be able to use this stitch--maybe for this necklace. Thanks, Stephanie, for being one of youtubes best mentors.
Wow I have really struggled with this stitch but seeing it done with big beads and your great camera closeups I think I might finally manage it lol thanks for all your brilliant tutorials.
Well, Stephanie, you did it again. Your instructions and great camera close-ups were so clear. You convinced us once again that we can do this! Thank you for helping us to be better, more confident bead weavers. What a gift you give! You are simply the best!
❤️❤️❤️❤️🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I love this stitch. Every time you make something using the PRAW stitch, I make it in so many different colors. I need more beads!!!!!! I can't get enough of your work!!!
I can envision this necklace with Amazonite, Labradorite or Pink Tourmaline. All of which would be absolutely stunning! Thank you Stephanie for yet another gorgeous tutorial!
Oh Stephanie - you are simply BRILLIANT!!! I got it this time - with the bigger beads.... YAY! I'm so happyyyy! We've got our own super-teacher in you - Lucky Us! ;-D
This necklace is really beautiful! Not a short project...... definitely takes a while to make but sooooo worth it! Thanks Stephanie - a very special piece.
Aww your every kind 🌻🙏🌼 Yes you will be able to make this! It is just beads and thread...easy once you get the stitch. I"m around for help and encouragement!
Wow! I tried it with the 3mm beads and it makes perfect sense the way you've gone through it. Remarkable, Stephanie! And so uplifting to see in the comments that so many of us are loving it like I am!
And then it really is magical to see it in the smaller scale. Going from Stepping Stones to CRAW and then this is a beautiful transition, a bit like the transitions of the bigger beads in the beaded bead. Smooth. Some day I will figure out how to post photos on Facebook, because my pieces are pretty, but for the moment I'm pretty lame in that category. The beading itself makes more sense!
I usually change the style to make it "my own". I dont know this stitch, but I think if I copied that segment over and over I could master this. I appreciate the bigger beads and the close-up. Tfs.
Yet again a beautiful video and stunning piece of jewelry! I like this even more than the craw . I like the roundness of the tube. So exciting! Thank you!!!

A friend directed me to your video. I had a necklace almost identical to this that my Italian mother in law made for me some twenty years ago. She copied it from a fairly modern painting in a gallery in Palermo, Sicily. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Beading is one of the oldest art forms and well over 100,000 years old so I am sure our predecessors have tried every pattern known to man! I also bead and have copied my mother in laws "copied" necklace many times for family members. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is a great place to see antique beading and there are dozens of praw necklaces there, many not dis-similar to this one.
Beautifully beaded jewelry never goes out of style! Classics like a station necklace are always going to be in style! There are so many ways a designer can interpret them.
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry I mention this as a good friend who beads for film and television ( she did Downton Abbey) was sued by Van Cleef & Arpels for making a PRAW necklace and calling it her own design. They claimed it was their patented design even though her design was made with different beads of different sizes. I learned from this and no longer claim designs as it can be very costly. Lovely work, just the same.
Anna Goodall I don’t think Van Cleef can claim PRAW as their beading stitch or a station necklace as their design. If anyone owns the stitch it’s probably Native American in origin. Sounds strange to me but I guess when your a luxury brand you can do anything you want?
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry they won the case, yet Praw can be seen in ancient Egyptian jewelry. They made one for Princess Diana, gold with a black jewelled motif at the front. It went from thick to thin. Pat's one looked nothing like it. A case of big money intimidating the little person. Just in case I just put made by..... on my labels. Makes me mad! I don't think anyone can claim any design considering how old the craft is. I agree native Americans made many designs, but Egyptians were 2000 years before them, so I'm guessing they contributed a vast number of designs. Nice channel. Keep going! :-)
Great. This Etsy shop is called ArteBellaSurplus and is full of beads we can use alongside the Miyuki base for pieces like this necklace and lots of other designs. I've had so many great experiences there and wnated to share my source of beautiful Czech beads. Thank you Stephanie!
