I'm almost 82 and listening to that melody and lyrics how perfectly they match it's difficult to hold my tears from listening to such lovely kids story 😢
My husband of 20 years passed away unexpectedly in 2019. Anytime this song would come on the radio when he was away from me, he would call me and let it play. Because when I was little, I loved this song, but I thought they were saying "my eyes of Georgia" LOL. He thought that was so funny when my folks told him the story. I haven't heard the song since he passed. It made me feel like he was calling me to let it play one more time. Thank you.
This is another group I grew up with in the 60's. Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. They had so many great hits together & when Frankie went out on his own in the 70's, this song "My Eyes Adored You" was a big hit for him. Also "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" & the song "Grease" from the movie. Always loved that he was able to sing in a falsetto voice.
@@barbarawebb7185 He wrote Grease, not this one. This song was written by Bob Crewe (4 Seasons producer) and Kenny “I Like Dreaming” Nolan. And the 4 Seasons do indeed play on this record, even though it’s officially a Frankie Valli solo number.
I need to sit down and take an afternoon and go down all the songs that y’all have done reactions to. You are delving into music I grew up on. This song in particular has held my heart many a night.
What a beautiful song picked for your review, thank you. The emotion and feeling Frankie Valli puts into this number 1 hit record of 1975 is just absolutely incredible. The lead singer of the Four Seasons Band is and has always been an amazing singer. Not bad for a Italian American who grew up in one of the poorest parts of New Jersey has sure done well for himself and welcome back.
I graduated in 1973 at age 17. In 1974, I met a girl. We never dated, but seemed to find ourselves at the same places & events. We gravited toward each other and talked about everything and nothing. The place (appropriately named The Place) where we were closed for the night. We sat on the curb and talked but there was a small crowd so we walked across town to the practice football field. We sat on a bleached and poured our hearts & dreams out to each other but I never so much as held her hand. We avoided only one topic: our current live interests. Before we knew itb the sun peaked up. The first night I spent with the woman I would one day marry, my eyes adored her but I never laud a hand on her.
My hubby dedicated this to in. 1976. We were together till 2017. I hurt still we were together for 41 years married in 1984. Love and miss him very much. You too are so cute together. 😍 and Blessings to you both. Love 💘 ❤ 😍 7
I have been loving Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons since I was in junior high. I got to see him in person here in Southern California. I recently found out that the back up group for him for 15 years recently is called the Modern Gentlemen. They are great too
I saw him in concert with my mom about 10 yrs ago and his voice is still as smooth and still has that crooner vibe the same way as he does here. He's a timeless treasure imo. 🤗💕🤗
Just saw Him perform it this year in Pittsburgh, PA. Great performance. Always one of My favorite songs. I fully had a similar experience. I believe Kenny Nolan wrote the song. He also wrote “I like Dreaming “. Another beautiful song.
When I was in sixth grade, this song had been re-released and was a hit again. It served as the background music to my romantic dreams of a beautiful blonde hair girl. She detested me yet was seated beside me in English literature class. "So close and, yet, so far..."
Heaven bless you, Shawn and Mel, but I remember when "Feelings " came out. Seemingly EVERYONE did a cover of it and you could NOT get away from it. At the very least, after you listen to "Feelings ", you'll appreciate it in Shrek. Or was it Shrek 2?
This is my absolute favorite Frankie Valli song. I had the great pleasure of getting to see him do this live in concert a few years ago. He still sings perfectly. A true living legend!
The song was originally titled my eyes in Georgia. He changed it to adored you and dedicated to his daughter that died of a drug overdose at an early age.
One of New Jersey’s finest! His falsetto voice is phenomenal! The band is outrageous! I saw the musical on Broadway.. Jersey Boys.. explains their whole journey!❤️
FRANKIE VALLI, and THE FOUR SEASONS. "MY EYES ADORED YOU". First let be known as grade school kids in the 60's. These guys had several songs thru the mid 70'S. I would say, speaking for myself. My Ears ADORED their great Harmony's. Hit after Hit.
Frankie Valli was in the movie "Grease" singing "Beauty School Drop-out". The scene when one of the high school girls was getting bad grades and tried to do all the Pink Ladies (girls gang. The T-birds were the boys group) hair and wanted to go to beauty school. In the movie and in the play, Frenchie (character's name) says "I wish I had a guardian angel to tell me what job I'm supposed to do." That's when Frankie Vali shows up as the angel and tells her to "go back to high school".
Frankie Valli & the four Seasons were a fantastic group from the 60s & early 70s. Frankie actually went solo in 1965 (up till then they were called The Four Seasons). He still went back touring & making music with The Four Seasons, but from then on, they were called "Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons" Frankie also did the theme tune to the movie "Grease" 1978 starring Olivia Newton John & John Travolta, which catapulted him to fame. Its also a fabulous movie if you haven't seen it. 😍
There are so many old songs that convey love, sexuality, passion, and romance between a woman and a man. With hits today like "wap" talking about popping this and sucking that... we can see most of the music industry has lost its appreciation for these old hits that covey so much while saying so little. :-) we needs hits like these back and I love artists of today that are old souls and are trying to bring this style of classic songs back :-)
I thought Shawn was going to grab Mel to hold her tightly. This is such a romantic song, Frankie Valli had such a wonderful voice, I'm so glad we can still listen to these classic love songs.
I love your guy's videos I love seeing your reactions, you should react to David Bowie Let's Dance or Night Fever by the bee gees. Keep up these videos!

I'm sorry about the loss of your husband, but you will see him again one day. That was a very sweet story. Thank you for sharing it. :)
Thank you ❤️
Kinda funny. But tears rolling down my cheeks. TX. Use to slow dance to this song.
So sorry for your loss
Sorry to hear........but glad to hear....he LOVED YOU
They are back!! Everyone give them a big "Thumbs Up" to show how happy we are!! :)
Frankie Valli has that romantic voice that really gets to you!!!!

Barry Gibb wrote it.

Written about Frankies daughter
a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song! If you love this one, you'll truly love "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."

Can't take my eyes off you..classic love song..
Classic. So wonderful to hear it again.

Back in the day, Frankie used to come to my grandmas house every Christmas to come see us...
Distance memories
Please find the video of The Four Seasons singing this song live. The drummer, Gerry Polci sings harmony with Frankie and his voice is so sweet!
I've loved this song since I was a little boy. But I never related to it like I do now.
I loved this song in 7th. grade and I still do. Please listen to Neil Sedaka's "Laughter In The Rain" and "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" (slow version).
I LOVE the slow version of Breaking Up!! So much deeper than the fast version.
I adored your reaction. 🤗
Beautiful and pure
Frankie had it goin on sexy and talented all rolled into one.
Hits my heart everytime ❤ 👌👍

I saw him in concert with my mom about 10 yrs ago and his voice is still as smooth and still has that crooner vibe the same way as he does here. He's a timeless treasure imo.
🤗💕🤗
Love this song. Good memories of good times
We loved this song as kids because I think we didn’t know he was modern at the time but more of a 50s band. Such a great song. The innocence!
Just saw Him perform it this year in Pittsburgh, PA. Great performance. Always one of My favorite songs. I fully had a similar experience. I believe Kenny Nolan wrote the song. He also wrote “I like Dreaming “. Another beautiful song.
I've loved Frankie Valli since I was a kid. My mom had 45's and 8 tracks and we wore them OUT. Living room dance parties. 🥰💜💚💛✌️
So glad you guys are here. You are my fav on line. Keep up the great work.
If you watch Jersey Boys it gives you a glimpse of the band from the beginning

Nah, do the fast one then immediately do the slow one.
@@rondanakamura2655 That works, if you're doing both.
When I was in sixth grade, this song had been re-released and was a hit again. It served as the background music to my romantic dreams of a beautiful blonde hair girl. She detested me yet was seated beside me in English literature class. "So close and, yet, so far..."
I like dreaming.. Another great love song!
