I enjoy first person puzzle games like Talos Principle, The Witness and I dare say, other Portal-likes. The feeling of figuring out the story, piece by piece via allusions (which in itself is another puzzle) goes well with the overall genre.
The premise sounds so cool in my opinion. I'm going to wishlist this. I have a huge backlog on different consoles to get through. Thanks for another great review. 😀

I believe we don't need Portal or HL from Valve. There are already many games which are sequels in spirit. I'd rather have Valve do something new, or set an industry standard like they did with Index, Alyx, Deck or something else.

They left the door open for much more, especially Half-life and how episode 2 ended and what happened to Judith Mossman and the borealis. Valve has made a couple of new IP's already, none of which particularly interest me.
This looks great. Reminds me of portal as beating puzzle but not knowing it it was the intended way or me just flying through portals differently. My friend I played it with solved differently than me on some also. Great review

I love puzzle games and can’t wait to play….which reminded me when you said “the game has got it’s creaks”, Amanita Design has a new game in the works. Phonopolis, described as an adventure set in a dystopian city made of cardboard.
Schools, I have. It’s probably one of my favourite puzzle games of all time. Relaxing, rewarding with a little uncanny valley creepiness thrown in for good measure.
I had a great time with this. My only issue was with the pacing toward the end. But it was nice to have a game that gives you both an appealing presentation and a solid value for your money.
"Where all the Fern seeds came from" Well Ackshually...... Ferns don't have seeds. They reproduce from spores which grow on the undersides of the leaves. Which actually makes some sense why they would easily spread through a space station. Also pretty interesting this was made by a solo developer.

Enjoying this game so far. Up to act 7 as I speak. Nothing too taxing at the moment but u have to think outside the box. The one puzzle to reverse vertically up to mid platform and grab took me five mins to work out. Graphics are not usually a problem in this type of game, I e the witness. Solid mechanics so far but not that difficult if you remember reverse order.
Granted I only got threw the demo, I felt it very linear. But with that said, It's a puzzler.... I think It accomplishes what it sets out to pretty easy.
tempted to get this but idk like you said, I wish it was a little more unique. From watching the trailers it seems like they took so many things straight out of Portal and just put a different skin on them
So you never said if it was a buy or not, just that you thoroughly enjoyed it, and "there's something here" for fans of this kind of game. Why have the scale if you don't outrightly say one of those 3 phrases?

My guess is he (or his editor) accidentally cut off the part of the audio where he stated his rating while editing the video. I'm pointing out the absence. .
I feel like it was a “buy” given the summary, but yeah I think it was a rogue editing error. I thought I vagued out and missed the line, so went back to watch the summary a second time lol

Would have liked to see this game have some sort of raytracing given its nature. Maybe its because I'm jealous of high end PC owners getting to play Portal with raytraced effects.
Ah puzzles...i play so many games but have not played much of pure puzzle games. Tried portal 1 and if i remember right think i finished it too. This game would be for me...a complete ignorant of puzzle games and i would probably end up solving things in this game only on weekends after a few brewskis. Gotta get me this game so i can become deeply depressed during the weekdays and then having some happy juice in the weekend solving puzzles without knowing how the heck i did it. Well if Portal 3 is never gonna arrive it's about time someone else had a decent crack at it..... (P3 if ever is gonna be a VR mindwarp by my guess......Plus, given the whole Overwatch thing you woulda thought they'd be at least lookin to do Team Fortress 3)
I've been looking forward to this game for a while. It's great to have a high quality spiritual successor to Portal since Valve has little interest in making new games.
Sure hope Control with a Portal Gun plays like it looks. Probably not as fresh as anticipated, but my Mensa skills need a better challenge than navigating traffic with everyone on their cellphones.
What is Extremely alarming and pathetic is the creator of the game has No Clue what entropy is and how to use it in a sentence let alone the real world. It has Nothing to do with reversing time which is a science fiction concept. In fact Entropy is described as a One Way Arrow of Time because it is an Irreversible process in physics.
Nobody cares. What is alarming and pathetic is copypasting the same review that has nothing to do with the actual content of the game under multiple ykutube reviews. Grow up

Must not be that many, he says it in 90% of them. But even if he doesn't, it's not like you can't figure out for yourself, and shouldn't rely on just one person's review to make your mind up anyway.

He also doesn't save money, he buys every game he reviews even if a copy is provided. That's included in (at least) any video where he gets a code, and many he doesn't. Tell me you don't actually listen without telling me....

Game looked awesome. Having put hours into it, I cannot wait for it to end. It's WAY too repetitive, if they cut the puzzle amount on half, this would be a much better game. But it's too drawn out in between stuff happening. After it's done, I will delete it and never play it again. Holy crap I never wanted a game to end so badly.

Yo I'm 100% buying this game, it looks so much like the classic Singularity, also it's sprinkled with a little bit of Portal. So Excited to play this.
I would likely get stuck on certain puzzels and get frustrated.
