There was no clarification of apex predator hierarchy in this video tho Great white sharks ARE certainly an apex predator, and quite a high level one too. They occasionally take on prey larger than what sperm whales ever have, and completely by themselves. They really should only be surpassed by orcas (elephant-sized pack hunters) and humans (by far the most overpowered build earth has ever witnessed yet) on the trophic level.

Mako shark teeth are designed for stabbing. It’s an adaptation they’ve acquired that helps them hunt large swordfish more efficiently. You also pronounced their name wrong.

Plus, saltwater crocs are the largest reptiles on earth, and Orcas are the largest dolphins on earth, and sperm whales are the loudest animals on earth (So loud they can even stun and kill prey with sound based attacks).
Random question but who do you think will win in a fight Great White Shark or Leopard Seal. I would think a great white would easily win and I feel like they would hunt them too. I tried googling everywhere and I haven’t gotten any sufficient results.
I think the great white would win, but I assure you that leopard seal would put up a fight. I don’t think it would be worth it for great whites to hunt them when they can take down easier prey instead. This video definitely didn’t do leopard seals justice, the only reasons that the leopard seal’s human kill count isn’t much higher are because the only people likely to encounter them *know better*

Hammerhead sharks are shaped like that because their head has a bunch of electro receptors. Same as the great white but because of their head shape their senses are on a whole other level, Abel to detect fish and prey even in the dark. So yes it’s like they have built in radar.

That stat about shark attacks is wrong in reason as the reason is most people will never encounter a shark, not they are friendly. But sharks attacks can still happen as swimming humans can be confused for a swimming seal.
I feel like sailfish are better hunters than marlins, not out of a bias of me just liking sailfish more, but with their added ability of putting their dorsal fins down for added speed, along with being able to raise it to look more threatening.
