Dallas Frazier is my favorite songwriter (thanks Connie Smith!) so I could imagine many of his songs being on my personal list of 10 greatest country songs of all time, but this song is like Shakespeare meets the Bible. It’s so good.
What a beautiful woman an equally beautiful voice. Absolutely totally underrated. I havent ever listened to her until today. I love her voice...from Austin Texas.
This is a fabulous rendition of Dallas Frazier's song, made famous, by Emmylou Harris on her Blue Kentucky Girl album 1978. On that recording, Rodney Crowell sings, back-up vocals and Hank DeVito is on pedal steel. One of the most beautiful country songs ever recorded, IMHO..... Rhonda Vincent is one of my other favorite female country music musicians and she knocks this song out of the park. Ricky Skaggs is in this tough crowd and actually played fiddle on the Emmylou recording, mentioned above. They all look to be blown away and on the verge of tears with this memorable performance. Bravo! I've seen her a couple of times and was equally blown away.
Saw her at the Opry on my only trip there. When anybody is a good as she is, they don't have to be compared to anyone else. When you approach perfection, it is never a competition.
This lady sure can sing, one of the few persons who are active today in the business who can sing.... talk about singing done right, the right way and the way country OUGHT to be DONE..... This gives me chills all over
No autotune. Just the VOICE. And what a voice it is.I feel sorry for the folks that will miss out on performances like this in the future, when talent is an afterthought in ALL music. Like it is right now in most. The "look" and the "act" take precedence over what sounds good. Rhonda, and a few of her peers still performing singularly extinguish any wish to hear "modern" country.
I watch the stars watching her and feel what they are feeling. Country music is such a blessing. They all see this. They look at her with the same respect that I do. All the people I used to listen to are all turning grey. They seem like a ghost from he past. I wish I could extend the respect and admiration that I feel towards real country music that they are all feeling.
Mike Johnson is such an awesome steel player and I have had the priveledge of hearing him in person and it is even more awesome!! What a blessing to country music!!
I gave up on country radio, until they play real country let's bring back the stars that made country what it realy is,No one is ever gonna tell me the steel guitar isn't country, Rhonda keep doing what you do true country fans still listen, taylor swift take your music were it belongs on pop radio.
Love your songs Ms Vincent - So happy to have discovered you and your group - found first with your song about loving your neighbor - thanks for bringing your happiness to us
Matthew, these "old timers" appreciate TALENT. They themselves are from the era that is seeing the last of great country music. I have ZERO doubt that some of the current crop have the chops, but producers have ruined country, bastardizing what country WAS.
I just discovered her today. This is the music I grew up on. I'm 68. I don't care for any of the current stars but Rhonda has what I like. I sooo love this.
She's my #1 favorite female singer. Love her Beautiful voice ..still listening to her Beautiful song's.. It's amazing how you hear a song and it reminds you of a special person 2020 and keep on listening.💕💕💕💕
I cannot find the words that would give the proper credit for this video. Rhonda was great as usual and Mike Johnson,,added the icing to the cake. wish there was a studio version of this. there are very few writers these days who can write a song like Dallas Frazier .thanks for sharing it. it.
Rhonda is beyond comparison - tremendous, at least! She let's it all go and gives it all up when she sings - that kind of commitment is all too rare with most performers. ...just wish she would sometime include Alaska in her touring schedule!
I'm glad that you found her...She is very very good! She has had a couple of hits on the charts , my favorite one is I'm not Over you. Google it...you'll be glad that you did.
Rhonda you are the best!. I'm a steel player and it is so wonderful to see the PSG featured. Your voice is amazing. I recognized some of the people in the audience. There is nothing better than playing to the giants, and impressing them..Thanks so much for this video, You, Mike and the entire band are amazing.
Wished I could give this ten Thumbs Up. YT only allows one. Love the song and Rhonda is a s lovely as the come. butter smooth dear lady, butter smooth.
Rhonda is among the very best female country/bluegrass voices. Seen her a couple times in the Maritimes,Canada and she's all that's beautiful in a song. Thanks brotherhamlet for sharing her music and to Bill Anderson for CFR and the very best in music.

She’s great!!! The whole band is fabulous. Probably underrated because they are the real country sound and Nashville does not like the very instrument that makes good country music. The steel guitar. The man playing it is such an outstanding musician.
Mike Johnson, in my opinion, is THE BEST Steel Guitar player around, he’s among the Greats! And helluva Nice guy too!! Rhonda’s voice is Amazing, love her
@Rhonda Vincent Rhonda...by all means please send information...I have been a fan since the black and white video you recorded in the ninties "Im not over you" When you start touring again I want to go to your concert. If your ever in Michigan let me know as this is the closest state to us. Your songs are very relatable to me. Your duet with Gene Watson "Gone For Good" is somthing that happens to a lot us if you let it...stay safe..never change ...we love you in Canada.....James
Rhonda is one of the best female singers to come along in many years! I'm a big fan and will always support her music and career! She is the real deal! Dewey Tompkins
This is such an amazing cut. What makes it even more so is the atmosphere in the room. The shots of the audience are simply stunning....... You can see they are watching and analyzing her every move and nuance. And she wins them over.....I believe Emmylou did this first, although don't quote me on that.
What a perfect arrangement of this old song. Great Vocals by Rhonda Stunning Steel guitar work By Mike Johnson. Thanks to all the great musicians too. Which I could have been there to see it Thanks for posting John Russell (UK)
She sings like an angel ,every time I listen to her I wish her could tell her in person she is perfectly designed for country music the soul of good music😁

Dallas Frazier is my favorite songwriter (thanks Connie Smith!) so I could imagine many of his songs being on my personal list of 10 greatest country songs of all time, but this song is like Shakespeare meets the Bible. It’s so good.
One of the best female vocalists of all time. Absolutely, totally, underrated.
I don't understand why this woman is not the biggest star in country music? She certainly has the talent!
I Don't understand Why she wasn't in the Top Of the charts, this woman can flat out sing with the best of them Damn.
And gorgeous to boot, that normally brings out us male country fans! She is definitely talented! Look up some of her other tunes!
True classic real country music lovers have been listening to
