In this video I shared a brief introduction to a newly released tether downgrade tool called Sunst0rm that you can use to downgrade your checkm8 devices without the need of a SHSH blob. I have explained in detail on how you can get all the required stuff and quickly get this up and running. This method is only applicable to A11 and lower devices.

Yes 100%. People even tether downgraded to for example 14.3 without the blob and using taurine or checkra1n even. But tethered mean when you reboot the device will need to booted again using pc.

Im currently on IOS 15.7 which is unsigned so does that mean i have to upgrade to the latest version (16.5.1) first to get the valid blob or i just use the 15.7 (which is not valid) blob to restore? and also is there a untethered downgrade available for checkm8 devices? or is there any way i can save blobs of the latest signed version available for my idevice without having to upgrade to it? i mean if am on IOS 15.7 can i save blobs for the latest signed version without updating my idevice to it

It needs macos . Secondly, did not test but if you use a VM (other than KVM) you have to manually enter ipwndfu using linux first whenever needed

Yes bro. With SHSH Blobs you can get to as low as 14.3 on iphone 8 but i am in doubt if you get to anything lower than that with the tethered downgrade method? I have to confirm. But atleast you can go to 14.3 without shsh blob tethered downgrade method.

Burhan Rana I tried that on ramiel but it didn't work, but my real goal is to use it like on my iPhone 7 (which is IOS 12.1.4) it's downgrade to at least 12.2 by any average, even if it erases it does not matter

Yes you can tether downgrade and boot 15.1 using it. Using any blob you have. But every time you reboot you have to boot your device using a pc.

Actually only macos can R/W to .DMG files which linux or windows can't.

It's an A8X so it is supported. And i am not sure because it is a tethered downgrade method. But i guess... Even tether downgrade itself will leave you unlocked because it works in a different way. We have to test that bro.

Yes you will have to use BOOT command or your device will go into recovery mode each time you reboot.

Yes tethered downgrade means the device will not boot at all if you reboot. You will have to use BOOT command from the tool to boot it again using the computer

No, tethered downgrade if works without blobs has a downside, if you reboot, your device will get stuck in recovery mode and you have to boot it using pc using the boot command.
