Absolutely loved the detective redirection. Obviously he knows what a koi pond is. Him acting oblivious and mispronouncing it I feel was definitely a ploy to make the suspect slip up. And he did! He immediately corrected him by saying “koi pond”… if you really didn’t remember what you were doing, there’s no way you could recognize that he said Kiki instead of koi. And they way he responded seemed almost instinctual, like he hadn’t thought too hard before he said it. And all of his guilt bleeds through in this moment. You can’t say you don’t remember a thing when you obviously remember enough to correct a detective on what, exactly, you said! Brilliant work by this detective.

well a 'Kiki pond' isn't a thing, so stands to reason he meant 'koi'. Plus, if he wanted to build one before this night, that would have been easy for him to know what the detective is talking about. The roommates likely mentioned it the next day - 'bro bro, you started digging a koi pond at 4am last night! '. And lastly, surely he'd notice he'd started to dig for a koi pond in the backyard after the fact. Less

IM SO SO SICK OF HOW OUR COURT SYSTEM HANDLES STALKINF CASES!!!! I’m a true crime fanatic, have been watching true crime cases since I was very little, and there’s a good 50% of these cases were the perpetrator has been caught stalking or following someone before they start killing victims. I don’t understand why stalking isn’t considered a precursor to more serious offenses!!! The fact that there’s no real sentencing for stalking is insane to me. How could someone be following someone else, tracking their every move, obsessively watching and prowling, and that not be a serious criminal offense worthy of at least a couple years? That doesn’t make any sense to me.
Almost all people who kill with a plan and a purpose, from what I’ve seen, plot and stalk and wait until they find the right time to strike. This man should’ve been jailed for stalking his ex. He should not have been left to roam the streets. This poor poor fucking girl man!!! And was anyone else absolutely infuriated by how he kept laughing during the interrogation, saying “I don’t know how I could do that”??? He knows he’s going to jail either way. They have all the evidence they need. Why not try to have even a modicum of decency and come clean?? To deny it and laugh about it… my blood was boiling!!!!

Then you've got your private detectives, law firms, police detectives, all federal law enforcement, every single reporter, including self appointed internet reporters.
You aren't wrong though, criminal stalking usually leads to much more serious crime.

because it doesnt differentiate between real stalking and say, cyberstalking. it is just another made up charge to get money from people, so why would they care anything past that? and how would they know, when every single case is faultily proceeded based on the defendant being as guilty as possible no matter what and their job is to prove hes guilty without a doubt, so there is really no chance of 'lesser' crime or 'not as serious' everyone is guilty of the same crime (granted violent cases give time based on how bad someone got hurt, usually). that being said there is no differentiation between serious cases and lesser cases, of say, cyberstalking, which both constitute the same law, the person thinks they are in danger, etc, but does not do anything in the case of the killer, who is proceeded through the court in the same manner as someone who say, wrote a mean facebook message.

Nice try Detective Dan. Do you have any idea how common restraining orders are? 99.99% of people who have restraining orders put on them are not crazy serial killers. 50% of true crime episodes is not 50% of violent criminal cases. These are are just the episodes that are most interesting which is why they seem so common. Leave detective work to the professionals.

It may help you to understand than the female psychopaths play the victim and file fake restraining orders and stalking reports. One county said that false accusations towards males from females was 50% of there cases. Thankfully none of these fake accusations stuck on me and I had 150k to burn in the injustice system to fight the bs. Most guys don’t. And end up in jail or charged . Sick world

The absolute fear this woman must have been in is horrible. He used a stun gun to incapacitate her & then put zip tie restraints on while she couldn't fight back. When her senses returned & she realized her predicament she was prob begging for him not to do it. Then after he ended her life, he dismembered her. Ugghh...i just don't understand how someone can do that to a person... A PERSON!!! I hope Jackie's loved ones have the support they need & can at least sleep at night knowing that the sick monster that did this is locked up. The reason this monster can't remember doing it is because he doesn't want to admit it. If he admits that he remembers it then that means he was of sound mind & body when he did it & he would have to admit that he's a monster capable of taking an innocent woman's life in such a heinous way. Its one thing to kill someone in self defense who's attacking you but quite another to physically overpower a person who's already smaller than you using a stun gun & zip tie restraints. He can't admit to his family that he's that kind of monster
